Who is upvoting your comment?? It makes no sense. The Claude Code is just the harness. It has very little to do with the model, and certainly won't help with making any models better at anything.
It’s a combination. I doubt other harnesses are very far behind Claude Code. I’ve tried them, codex, opencode etc and the experience is decidedly worse. Plus, now that the harness is out in the open after the CC leak, it is even less of a differentiator.
The model is a real differentiator. Opus just gets things in a way other models often fail to.
The irony is, since model outputs can't be copyrighted, and especially not by model creators, Chinese labs are in better legal position than Western counterparts that used copyrighted works without permission for training their models.
Hey wait... can all the researchers who worked on nlp and llms for academia and published papers on how to do it for free, get paid since you are using their work...
every time western companies try to "combat" like this it only stimulates china to develop another often better approach. I bet there should be some smarter move from their side.

You would not copy a car would you?

Copying is good. I'm still waiting for some company to learn from the Claude leak and make a better model at a fraction of the price.

Sure but it's still better than nothing.
MrHaxx1@reddit
No, it's literally nothing in regards to making a better model at a fraction of the price.
CanineAssBandit@reddit
I think they mean it's better than nothing because fucking up this time implies they could fuck up again and release something of value later
Embarrassed-Boot7419@reddit
Yeah, but even then, it would still have been better for them to not mess up, cause now they'll take more care to not leak any major stuff.

Not a model. It's a harness

Bois. China release their models open source. They have the good grace of giving back after scraping the whole internet.

This could be fun to watch, given all the 'copying' is more or less the same as user behavior.
