SA 35 4inch. Detective Hi Power!
Effective-Client-756@reddit
Right after I finally make a decision on what pistol to buy and follow through with it. Every. Damn. Time
TheInevitableLuigi@reddit
Thank's man!
Can you make a couple more decisions this year?
Batttler@reddit
I just bought the full size last year
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
That's how it goes, put it on the list! 😆
The_Mad_Duck_@reddit
It's like a CZ-75 and a 1911 had an ugly ass child lol
lonnie440@reddit
You mean it’s like a browning hi-power =glorious

I was just talking about the detective models with my gunsmith friend
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
They are super cool. There was some Turkish models but I never warmed up to them. With Springfield making a detective type model im definitely interested!
Banjo_Biker@reddit
SA-35s are Turkish.
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
Didn't know there was Turkish involved.
Verdyce@reddit
I think the bill it’s are made there and shipped to Springfield for machining.
JefftheBaptist@reddit
I believe the slide and frame are forged by Tisas. Springfield does final machining and finishing. Kind of like how their 1911s work.

I actually own a Girsan mcp35 PI myself, I've loved to shoot it despite my inexperience. Curious what would lead someone away from such a piece?
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
I was aware of the Girsan models. I liked that they made the clones and thought they looked attractive and some had cool features.
I'm sure they are perfectly fine I just have a bias of Turkish guns. Nothing against anyone who has them or runs them.
My preference comes from what I belive is "Timeless". For example when I'm dead and gone my Springfield or Colt will pass on to a son and it just hold more gravitas than a Tisas or Girsan.
I've shifted my collecting to items that I perceive are bit more timeless. Similar thought process for why I dont really care about the newest most tactical high speed technology stuff.

Also own and enjoy a girsan mc p35. Have been eyeing the compact for months.

JefftheBaptist@reddit
Is it aluminum frame or steel? One of the turkish companies (girsan?) makes an aluminum frame hipower with an extended beavertail
Mdmrtgn@reddit
It'll have to go on the list after the 3 inch emp.
specter376@reddit
Carrying my 3" EMP right now, love it!
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
Both cool models!
Chipperchoi@reddit
I really wish they would start building M1 Garands. I know i can CMP and all but would be nice to see.
Thurman_Beefcap@reddit
That would be a dream. Affordable, functional Garands being easy to obtain would allow a whole new generation of young shooters to end up with a weird mark on the skin next to their thumb.
Dipper_Pines_Of_NY@reddit
Problem is they wouldn’t sell enough to make them affordable. I find it highly likely there’s not gonna be a time when a Garand is under a g(a)rand again.
WhiterunWarriorPrjct@reddit
The new repro CMP garands are way too expensive. They want over 2k for them
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
True. Weren't those H&Rs like over $2K?
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
Would be pretty sick. Im planning on starting the CMP process for one soon.
InteractionFun5997@reddit
Alloy frame or steel?
The-Grizzly-Savage@reddit
Steel frame and slide
Mountain_Man_88@reddit
I need them to do a run of the "Renaissance." Engraved silver, get me some Santa Maria grips...
Strong_Dentist_7561@reddit
You thinking what I’m thinking ?
Looks like a 14 carat run of bad luck

The game was rigged from the start.

3006mv@reddit
I mean if you are going to clone a classic might as well be the Browning Hi-Power
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
True. Im intrigued by these. I always thought the compact models were very cool. I never really warmed up to the Turkish clones but I love Springfield.
Frankfritzzz@reddit
Just a heads up but I believe the slides and frames for these are Turkish
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
Oof! 😬
Midnight_Rider98@reddit
Forged in Turkey by Tisas, machined in the US by Springfield.
DreadPirateKaldone@reddit
I’d love Springfield a bit more if they hadn’t blocked me on IG for a comment on a Julie Golob post.
Gremguy22@reddit (OP)
What you say? Lol
DreadPirateKaldone@reddit
I commented congratulating her on the new sponsor and asked how she was able to come to terms on their involvement in the Illinois gun control lobbying they were involved back in 2017. Apparently they don’t want people remembering that. Anyways she didn’t block me, but they did. So any post she makes involving them I can’t see lol.
3006mv@reddit
Looks like a solid version
