The latest SOTR video does not bode well for S&W QC on these things
raifsevrence@reddit
I'm looking forward to the day they get into some of the higher end brands to see if these issues are ubiquitous or if they are primarily occurring in budget brands/products.
Ruger and S&W AR's having all these qc issues doesn't really surprise me, but it does make me question industry qc in general
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
Seems weird how long they’ve been around and how often SOTAR is quoted and referenced yet I never hear about them saying good things about a particular rifle/parts. Not super familiar with em tho
BobsBBQBuffet@reddit
He will tell you they all have issues and you have to check every single part.

STAR is right there

What issues did they see?
storytimeme@reddit
I'm only like 12 min in, but one had a 'sticky' mag release and two or three of them had forward assists that didn't work. Most likely to how the BCG grooves were milled.

What's the quote code you used? It says 669 after applying code

Dang is the deal dead already?
The codes are single use, I just tried pasting in the code I used to see if it pulls up at the higher price and it won't let me apply mine.

Yeah weren’t these selling at like 550-599?
JustLurkingPCForums@reddit (OP)
If you're in the market for one I personally think it's a good enough price to jump in given flat rate shipping and no tax. Been scraping the web and everybody who has sold it closer to $600 has the shipping and tax and at best you end up around this price anyways.
The $550 deal a few months back was like a black friday deal and I think some folks were mentioning it was literally in store on available stock only.

All good, I only provided info based on what I know (and my knowledge is just limited on past historical posts).
Regarding #3, I guess it's possible (probably likely) it could go lower, I just haven't seen it much based on the price history. I also only know of a handful of dealers that are truly fee/tax free and free shipping at this point (like the one I mentioned in my edit above).
I guess if it hit $550 no tax/fees/shipping it would be BIN. Tried doing the math across the main dealers across the board and even at this price for me I at best save like $10.

Regular price for this nowadays
