This is not a new norm, this is just America being America. The only difference is how many cameras and social media platforms there are to show it to us. “The American Hitler” is funny considering that the Nazis used American treatment of indigenous and Black people as a model for their ethnic cleansing. This is America taking the mask off and this is why liberal “it’s a good system that has been corrupted” “we’re going to change it from the inside” bullshit will never work. A Democrat president in 2028 will not make America less of a fascist genocidal state, the same way Obama and Clinton didn’t

After Stalin weakened the USSR with the Stalin-Hitler pact and by murdering 90% of Red Army generals and 80% of Red Army colonels in 1937.
Yes, there was an epic fight by the Soviet people and their army. But they did not overthrow the Stalinist bureaucracy. Stalinism prevented the working class from abolishing world capitalism both before the war in Germany 1933, Spain 1936, and in postwar France and and Italy. Then they abolished the USSR and the Red Army in 1991. this is why we have fascism again, despite the heroism of the Red Army in 1941-45.
All of our efforts must turn to redeploying the international working class as the sole force that can stop Trump and the capitalist system that has made him.

And yet millions opposed the invasion of Iraq before it occured. and millions more have learned since Iraq, Afghanistan and Gaza Trump was, after all, elected as an antiwar president. And the vast majority of Americans oppose this war with Iran. even if that were not the case, the strategy of mobilizing the American working g class against this war would remain.

New? It’s awful, but it isn’t the new normal, it’s the same normal that was around when Laos was carpet-bombed, when Agent Orange was dropped all over Vietnam. Maybe WWII was the turning point, maybe before that, but this is what every war has looked like since. But we always act surprised and that’s what allows it to happen again.

What's new is that it is not that genocide is happening again but that it spoken openly and publicly and admiringly in the light of day. Hitler said what Trump said on Monday in September 1939 to Wehrmacht officers in secret. He always distanced himself form the mass murder of Jews. But now we have a ruling class proclaiming its intentions to the world. It is a huge moral degeneration, all the worse because the Democratic Party and the media do not call it one.

Yes, it’s new to hear it from the US president. It’s not new to hear from Americans. The, “bomb them back to the Stone Age,” was vert popular after 9/11. So, he really does represent a lot of people.
