How many cups of tea or coffee do you make (or part make) but not drink each day?

For me, the reminder that I wanted a coffee is the sound of the machine automatically turning off because I didn't ever actually make the drink.

Im a trainee barista, if I’m at work I have to limit how many I drink or i don’t get any sleep
escapingfromelba@reddit
None, they are guzzled within minutes. Might even take longer to make than drink.
smellyfeet25@reddit
i drink my tea
Alert_Mine7067@reddit
There are times when I stick the kettle on, pour the water into the cup to let it brew, and then get sidetracked and forget about it until I'm back in the kitchen.
Most of the time though it's made to drink immediately

One real coffee, maybe two or one real one decaf. That’s all I’m supposed to have for health.
TooLittleGravitas@reddit
But if you don't drink them ( per the question) there's no health issue.
Maleficent-Win-6520@reddit
That’s a very good point
TooLittleGravitas@reddit
Probably about 50/50
I'm so bad now I've reluctantly learned to like tea reheated in the microwave.

None, but I generally only have one ans it's part of my "routine" so I don't forget.
I did tho, make it in my travel cup and forgot to take it when I left the house so smug to a point only..

In my half century-ish on the planet, I can only think of one single time I’ve made a cup of tea and not drunk it. (It definitely never, ever happened to me while I wasn’t on the planet either 🤔)

6 or 7

Maybe 2 cups of tea. Then I have to heat it up in a saucepan which isn’t worth the effort.
I have sometimes put water in the kettle and kind of waited on my phone only to rmemeber I hadn’t put it on.

Hello ADHD my old friend!
Today at 1pm the score is:
1 hot cross bun left in the air fryer 1 cup of tea cold 1 cut finger 1 burned thumb
cleb9200@reddit
This reads like my diary. The public ones are the worst, paying for your coffee and then just walking away with it still on the counter
Mental_Body_5496@reddit
Or just forgetting to collect it !
VolcanicBear@reddit
Why is no one answering your actual question lmao.
Zero. I drink all the tea or coffee I make for myself.
LilacScentedStoat@reddit
I have 3 coffees a day.
I don't ever forget the whole drink, but I do sometimes leave half or quarter.
Quite often though, I'll reach for my cup and pick it up and feel that it's empty. Somehow I've forgotten I drank it and I get a single moment of utter disappointment..

Zero. When I make a drink, i finish it because I want it. It's not a habit or some security blanket.
What's the point of making drinks you don't finish? Wouldn't it be better to just sip on water instead?
AnyOlUsername@reddit
The last one of the day. I drink out of a thermal cup that can be closed. I’ll keep drinking until it’s gone, no matter how long it takes, even if it’s gone cold.
The only one I might not drink is whatever’s left in the cup before I go to bed.
Purp1eMagpie@reddit
Zero.
Make drink. Drink drink
Dissidant@reddit
5 ish though I drink water as well
The__Groke@reddit
Zero. If I’ve made it I’m drinking it, even if it’s cold, even if I have to put it in the microwave (sacrilege I know!).
RIPONICA@reddit
Not a single time.
If I'm making a brew I'm standing there whilst it's brewing, then it's following me around everywhere I go until it's empty.
AirlineSevere7456@reddit
Dunno but I often boil the kettle, do something else while it's boiling and forget I boiled the kettle.
lunardefiance@reddit
Like 2-3. My mum makes coffee and forgets about it or only partially drinks it sometimes, though lol. I've been trying to be better about drinking water recently.
pgnlzbth@reddit
I always have a brew of some sort on the go. I’m not opposed to drinking them cold so I don’t generally waste them, but often they will sit around for a few hours before I finish them off / remember they’re there 😂
Wait-Whos-Joe@reddit
Love the idea of tea before bed, always forget a made tea and by the time i remember its already cold
Minute_Ad_3719@reddit
12s my limit
Akash_nu@reddit
This happens a lot when I’m at the office. I take a coffee but never managed to finish it because of back to back meetings.

3-4. It’s partly my age, I think.
