The Fed's flew, then they swam. NOW THEY CAN DRIVE!

If this thing were faster it would fit right in with mad max

Fuck all those guys over there...... eventually
CoyoteDown@reddit
Given the nature of the Ukrainian country side there’s equal chance it hits enemy or babsusia
Amish_Juggalo469@reddit
HaHa! finally got them
MuddlinThrough@reddit
God dammit, I'm sick and this made me laugh until I couldn't stop coughing the moment I recognised the intro
Javelin111111@reddit
More of a VBIED than a drone no? Imagine seeing this thing chugging along towards you
Brilliant-Flower-271@reddit
Ground torpedo!!!
FanSoffa@reddit
They must have some kind of way to remotely detonate that thing. And its likely heading for some stationary target.
If you cant detonate remotely, then how would you stop an enemy from going around the back of it and pointing it in a new direction.
Also, seems too risky to have it explode when it hits something, imagine a medium sized boulder hidden in the tall grass 10 meters away from you.
psmgx@reddit
use an old Casio watch like the Iraqi IED makers would.
target is 0.75 km away and it moves 4 km an hour, so assume 15 min per km. add in a little more to account for hills or surprises. presumably you're sending it at a trench or building that can't go anywhere either.
if they turn it around it'll pop before it gets back to you.
psmgx@reddit
this is a forgotten weapon?
also thems a lot of AT mines.
BabooDAgod@reddit
Are we sure this isn’t just a minelayer and not a kamakazi? Seems far too slow to be an attack platform. Far more plausible this just lays mines in no man’s land
sadrice@reddit
It has two mines strapped to the sides of the engine, that makes me think the whole thing is supposed to blow.
AyeBraine@reddit
Both sides actually demonstrated much more refined mine laying drones with a conveyor and a mine magazine. This looks more like a field DIY experiment for fun.
Sevsix1@reddit
could also be that they use it to draw "sniper" fire to reveal the locations of people lying in cover sniping at the people, the fact that they don't seem overtly worried could be explained by the marksman rifle (being most likely the SVD) is only accurate to around 800 meter and they are 1000 meter away, the sniper would have 2 option shoot the drone and show where their position is located at or let it get so close that the infantry could fire at it neither of which would be a great position to be in
RoBOticRebel108@reddit
Them just standing in the open to me suggests back lines. So I support the mine layer theory.
WickyBoi220@reddit
There doesn’t look to be a way of laying the mines on it, especially with how they are laid on there it looks more like it’s set up so that when it contacts something with a decent bit of force (ie falling into a trench) it detonates the mines.
thomasoldier@reddit
Makes me think of this :

Cheeko914@reddit
How does it get set off?
skratch@reddit
This looks like a very slow mine delivery bot that also has the potential to explode at any moment
castironburrito@reddit
When it runs out of gas, the Russians will turn it around, fill the tank, and send it home.
WR-DG-02FC@reddit
Well, at least they aren't strapping them to dogs.
blackspike2017@reddit
You laugh but this same technique was used successfully to engage dozens of giant underground worms in the American southwest and Mexico.

This reminds me of the video where the russian filled a t55 full of explovies and sent it towards a ukrainian trench. The ukrainians hit the t55 with a anti tank weapon and a wicked big explosion happens

If you get killed by that slow loud ass thing, its on you

I feel the same about trains. Like, unless it's an actual accident, if you get hit by a train it's totally on you.
Kumirkohr@reddit
Very few railway accidents are genuine accidents.
Most are the handiwork of the shareholders

Ukrainians and their tractors...
Kumirkohr@reddit
Well, when you’re the breadbasket of Europe you tend to acquire an awful lot of tractors
Hour_Hornet_2644@reddit
Those are at mines tho so it might not explode
cotton_03@reddit
They've probably rigged some detonator system at the front. There are other drone dropped ones which use a vog grenade to set off the mine
Hour_Hornet_2644@reddit
Why wouldnt they just use powder then
Dr_Allcome@reddit
Because it is way more dangerous to dismantle the mines to get the explosives out.
Razor_EDG@reddit
using the term drone very loosely here
Kcmichalson@reddit
"War... has changed"
missed_trophy@reddit
This some kind of old drone, or just local thing for solving some problem. New serial НРК (ground robotic complexes) looks different.
