is it possible as an O/O for yall to just cut out the broker and go straight to freight holder and negotiate your own rates?
ICheckRaiseYouFold@reddit (OP)
Sometimes. Depends on your relationship with the shipper. If you have no relationship with them. Then probably won't get far until that level of trust is established.

Schneider??

Lol no. Hell no
SameConnection7722@reddit
No loads? Must be the brokers not wanting to pay the going and rising rates. Their losing their cheap operators. Lol

Oh brother, I'm dispatched weekly with the same load. I go away for 4 days, with my team driver, and at the end of the week, they give me roughly $4k. I don't pay for fuel, tires, maintenance, or the time they towed me 3 states and 1700 miles. I get Healthcare, no cost, a pension and 5 weeks vacation.
What's the struggle?
Hopfrogg@reddit
That sounds pretty good. But how long you been driving? There seems to be no shortage of drivers having a different experience and I doubt they are all liars.

A little over a decade.
