Aventon Adventure M Feedback.

I have been an active bike rider for a while, then a couple years ago I fell victim to the $700 e-bike on Amazon. While it served its purpose, the motor has gone out and a replacement motor is almost half the price of bike. Decided to time has come to just upgrade my passion. I didn’t think I would be looking at a fat tire bike, but the Aventon Adventure M has caught my eye. I’ve watched every video I could find and not looking for riders that own one for honest feedback.
I’m 200lbs and often carry about 30lbs of gear. I mainly commute to work on sunny days with my laptop bag, it’s 8 miles away. Some road and mostly oversized pathed paths. Additional I live next to a park that offers nice dirt trails. Mainly looking for that go where I wanna go feeling.
Anyone own one to provide feedback to experience?

Thanks everyone, very valid points and I really appreciate the feedback. After comparing things more, seems like the Ramblas ADV is exactly what I am looking for.

Gonna mimic what the other person said. Unless you really want a mid drive motor you can get the level 4 or aventure 3 for a grand less.
I will say aventon is awesome. I have an aventure 2 with over 18 thousand miles and I haven't had a single issue

Aventon is definitely the right brand to be looking at.
Based on what you described though, an Aventon Aventure 3 will work just fine and you'll save $900.
And if you don't really need fat tires and want to lower the bike weight, you could even go with the just-release Aventon Level 4 REC, and if you really need to, swap out the tires to something more aggressive. I have an Aventon Level 3 with simple commuter tires and ride on everything but sand and in mud just fine.
Also, I highly recommend crossposting this at r/Aventon to get feedback from Aventon riders. But note, you can't go wrong with any bike from Aventon.

Not OP but looking for a replacement e-bike. Good to see there are local shops that offer these bikes to try out

It really is. Originally I was thinking about Lectric, but they don't have official bike stores, although some stores (like mine) have a few to try. It's good to try styles you may not even be thinking of. You may be surprised what you like! Riding mountain bikes all my life, I realized the best bike for my riding today was a commuter bike, go figure! ANd I learned Aventon bikes were the nicest looking which you'll see in store. Veloctric bikes are good too, they have beautiful displays, but the bikes themselves don't look as nice to me. Regardless, buy the right bike for most of your riding! And spend a little more than you may be thinking to get the right bike the first time.

with what you are describing for your riding, you have zero reason to go fat tyre. Useless weight for your surroundings and worse corner handling than a regular size tyre.
in the same pricerange and same manufacturer you can get either a ramblas adv if you are serious about off-roading or a level 4 adv if you want a generalist commuter(you can still put knobby tyres on if you need a bit more bite)
