March was good to my camera in RVSM airspace. Here are some of my best shots of the various traffic I encountered across Canada & USA airspace.

What is the 6 ?
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
It was a Falcon 900 I believe
dali_17@reddit
Ah right! I was wondering where the engins are :))
Great photos btw

How expensive was your camera, and were those first photos from the ground!?!?
cheetuzz@reddit
OP comments said they were taken during cruise. He’s a pilot.
Ok_Boat_1337@reddit
Ahh, I see.
bloody_boogers@reddit
These are incredible shots.
ScaryDuck2@reddit
What camera and lens do you need to capture these lol. This is insane quality
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Canon R5 Mark II with a 100-500mm f/4.5-5.6L lens. I always have that and at least 3 more lenses with me in my flight bag. It sucks to carry around but these types of photos is why I do it.

I guess I never thought about it, but I guess a camera doesn’t really count as a PED.
cheetuzz@reddit
in addition to top of the line gear, probably also skillful post processing (like increasing contrast, etc).

I need to know too. I’m just going to sit here all night and refresh until OP responds.

I have responded haha!

Just beautiful. Amazing photos.
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Thank you! That is always a tricky angle to get since the window angle works against me. Too much zoom at the low part of the window pane angle causes a lot of distortion or blurry results typically.
snowsnoot69@reddit
Yea I imagine none of these are easy to capture. The symmetry of the shadow on the aircraft is so cool.
KnownConstruction888@reddit
I’m just over here marveling at how perfectly that shadow lands makes me wish I had even a fraction of that timing.

Couple of the Chemtrail dispensers could do with a filter clean 😹
Hodgetwins32@reddit
The bizz jets look beautiful at altitude, and that Olympic Delta livery is clean.. other than that the 121 aircraft look like the usual slop.
orangeinvader75@reddit
These are excellent photos! Taken from the best vantage point possible. Thanks for sharing!
SpiritGuyd@reddit
That Air Canada shot is awesome! Contrast with the black and white livery against that deep blue sky, bright white contrails, so good.
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Thank you! I was really happy it turned out sharp as well! I don't get enough widebody action flying over me.
need2sleep-later@reddit
Nice shots!! Your website pics are incredible too; that AF1 picture is wild.
flightist@reddit
Good lord, that AC triple shot is brilliant.
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Thanks a lot!
Thy_Gap_Slayer@reddit
Incredible shots…. Tack sharp, awesome composition and realistic colours

Setup includes a lawn chair with balloons attached 🎈 🪂
twentiesforever@reddit
insane photos! Can I make these my pc wallpaper with high rez? number 5 and 6 are wild
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Thank you! Yeah I should make these available for that!
tortureofchalkdust@reddit
Can you let us know if/when you do that? I just got a new desktop and would love to make one of these my background
Bananas_are_theworst@reddit
Dang I hadn’t ever seen the belly of the AC livery, that is sharp! Great photos.
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
It looks really good, especially with snow and sun condition in Canada!
iwasthen@reddit
5 Air Canada is hot
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
The refreshed livery is hot
N314ER@reddit
Curious, do you prep the windows when you get in the aircraft?
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Actually when I flew Citations and PC-12's, I would regularly clean the windows but that was mostly because we had smashed so many bugs it was just annoying to look at.
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Nah, the one time I tried to clean the front window I got an electric shock 😂
EasyEconomics3785@reddit
How did you get these photos? Beautiful!
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Through the flight deck windows while in cruise.
Cute_Flatworm_9049@reddit
Incredible timing, shot and composition!
Least-Size-8807@reddit (OP)
Thanks a lot! It helps the camera can shoot 30 frames per second haha
