Holy Grail. You’ll go for the pub atmosphere, selection of beers and whiskey/scotch, but the food is the unexpected surprise.
SharkSheppard@reddit
Their Ghost pepper chili is actually hot! Which I love as a true fan of heat.
Thick-Broccoli6986@reddit
I love their chili!
downtime37@reddit
I know I'll get down voted for this but I've been several times and could not disagree more.
disaster308@reddit
Gravy fries forever

Gimme all your friend goat cheese!
boldsurvive@reddit
Won BBQ has delicious & high quality KBBQ as well as great lunch specials and less common Chinese-Korean dishes on the menu! Also love the chicken kebab at Sofra Kebab House (though Google is telling me they're permanently closed... I sure hope not).
Fraz0R_Raz0R@reddit
They are not closed and have $12 chicken+adana kebab deals for lunch thru doordash
boldsurvive@reddit
Amazing news!! I wish I knew the secret to how he gets the chicken so juicy, definitely some of the best chicken breast I've ever had.
Fraz0R_Raz0R@reddit
Heirloom Pizza guy makes some seriously good Margherita. Kuppana is fantastic for South Indian food the popcorn chicken at sweet hut is a great deal at $6

Joe’s Pizza in Allen!! So good
The_Museumman@reddit
Also at Spring Creek and Custer, right? Or is that a totally different business I’m thinking of?
hoosierblonde@reddit
I checked and they are different! I’m thinking of Joe’s Italian Bistro off Greenville in Allen

In Richardson, but Bella Flan. Family run and the owner is legit the nicest lady I’ve ever met. I hadn’t been back in around 9 months and she remembered my family and me immediately. Asked about my wife’s health and our baby.
Everything on the menu is fantastic. Best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had.
YungSatoshi@reddit
Agreed, Siv is so so so nice and it’s the best Cuban I’ve ever had. Love the sauce that comes with it and the glass thin plantain chips. Great coffee too!
Veronica612@reddit
I’ll check it out! I love Cuban food!
Spike_Dearheart@reddit
And whatever you do, get a guava cheese pastelito!
meatforsale@reddit
I seriously said “give me two of each” for the pastries. She’s so nice. She said she’d just make me fresh ones, but I told her my family and I are trash cans. We were happy to eat the ones in the heater.
Spike_Dearheart@reddit
Last time I was there, I got a pastelito to go. She asked me to at least have a bite while it was fresh and warm. She was, of course, right. It was hard to stop eating at one bite, lol.
meatforsale@reddit
Your willpower is made of titanium. I would’ve eaten it and waited for another one lmao
Spike_Dearheart@reddit
I'd already had a burger and a rajas empanada! I might've died if I'd eaten the whole thing, lol.
Randusnuder@reddit
Their Bella burger is nothing to sneeze at, as well. Strong recommend.
meatforsale@reddit
Went with a good sized group, so we got the ropa vieja sandwich, Cuban sandwich, ropa vieja quesadilla, and the burger along with a bunch of meat pies and empanadas. Every single item was 10/10. Whenever I have out of town visitors, this is where I take them, and it has been unanimously loved.

The Wooden Spoon. They sell popular Scandinavian chocolate, candy, snacks, and cute/quirky knick-knacks. Occasionally they also display & sell artwork from local artists, and it’s located in a beautiful old farmhouse near downtown Plano. This home-turned-local business is also the oldest building still standing in Plano. It’s currently for sale, but is still open for business as of this writing.
The_Museumman@reddit
It’s a cute shop, I learned about it via my Swedish girlfriend who knew the previous owner. Highly suggest for anybody to check it out while in Downtown Plano.
DadDong69@reddit
Mumtaz has truly authentic food and flavors you won’t find outside India hidden away, here in Plano, Tx. Even before you arrive, your nose will guide you towards where to find the authentic cuisine only Mumtaz can offer.

Kosta Dino's Boot & Shoe Repair. I had a pair of pink leather shoes and one was bleached from the sun. They matched the color perfectly! Truly a work of art. They also make custom leather boots and belts.

Anaya's Seafood.
Not sure you can even find better seafood in the area. This place absolutely rocks. The bread pudding is also the best around.
ihadtopickaname@reddit
Even as a non-seafood eater, I really like Anaya’s!
Cadian@reddit
Yeah! Everything they do is quality.
Plus they have hushpuppies so my picky eater mother is a big fan!
cylaali@reddit
I'm so biased on this but Epic Chiropractic. The chiropractor is born and raised Plano, and he's awesome.
Also hi, I'm Dr. Cyrus Laali, chiropractor and owner at Epic Chiropractic :D

Can't say enough about Dar Coffee on the NE corner of Park and Los Rios. It changed our entire neighborhood so much.
InfernalBiryani@reddit
Absolutely love this place, it’s my first choice whenever a friend/relative wants to get something to drink. It’s also better than a lot of the other Yemeni coffee shops around DFW.

Yes!!!! BEST sandwiches and the SWEETEST owners! I used to live right by there so thanks for the reminder to stop by there soon.
meatforsale@reddit
I went there when we were looking for a house which made us even more inclined to find a place in Plano, and we go back occasionally. Always good sandwiches and really nice owners.
Csharp27@reddit
I love that place!! Happened upon it once and have been back many times since.
impendingfuckery@reddit
Salsa Tex Mex. it’s the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. JS Chen’s is the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Angelo and Vito’s is great, authentic New York style pizza I’ve never had anywhere else!
SharkSheppard@reddit
I like Litas. They are never busy enough but really good. And they do a habanero salsa that is very tasty and hot. Have to ask for it though.
Csharp27@reddit
Everybody knows and loves Salsa though. Basically an institution at this point.
impendingfuckery@reddit
My bad. I either glossed over the “underrated” criteria in the post; or didn’t classify Salsa as such. I know it’s always busy. But I probably considered a must and underrated as one and the same.
cocoteddylee@reddit
Salsa Tex Mex is a must if you live in this area. Inexpensive, huge portions, dips free with the chips. It’s excellent and my go to Mexican place in town
oneF457z@reddit
Fajitachanga.... mmmmm

Sugarpine Creamery! I’m not the biggest fan of desserts, but I can never pass on this ice cream shop. They rotate flavors every couple weeks so I always try something new and have not been disappointed. Run by such a kind family as well
NefariousnessOk8995@reddit
Came to make sure this was mentioned.
I'm not even the biggest ice cream fan and I crave Sugar Pine, plus the owners are the nicest people. Absolutely love this place.
spook008@reddit
Oasis International Market. Great market. Alots of variety and selection of unique stuff. Alot fresh bakery next door cranking out different breads
user10299201@reddit
A3 Auto works. I forgot the guy's name, but it's a single garage and he does great work and is very honest. Never tries to upsell me something. Lets me know what my to-do list is for my car, what I absolutely need to do, and what I can put off and for how long. Was very sad when I moved away, because it was nice having a trustworthy guy for car repairs.
snuggiemane@reddit
Jeff’s Vegan
Csharp27@reddit
E.B. Latin Bistro off midway and Plano Parkway. Some of the best enchiladas I’ve had, along with kick ass cubanos and paella. Oh their Arroz con Pollo is great too. Everything really. John the owner is always there tending bar and he fuckin rules.
Plantersnutz@reddit
Raung Thai. Ming and her husband are super sweet. Their food is amazing and their restaurant is BYOB. It’s also easy to get to.
RVelts@reddit
Eddy's Pizza in the same shopping center is BYOB also. My mom lives around the corner and we alternate these two places whenever I visit home.
Glad-Set-4680@reddit
Love their curry.
donedigity@reddit
Cowboy Collision! I just took a couple of cars to them for some bodywork. One covered by insurance and the other without coverage. They were willing to work with me on price. Normally I always feel like I’m being overcharged at body shops. The work was great and they finished very quickly.
shinadori_@reddit
Yokozuna. They are a bento and sando place that recently opened back up. Really delicious food! Give them some love and support!
