Not sure what to do about letter

First off I know it’s my fault and when I refinanced in 2017 I was bananas and dealing with a marriage that is now over. I owe approx 55k in private student loan debt through Navient. In Spring 2019 I filed bankruptcy due to medical issues- I was told I couldn’t do my loan by my attorney. Things didn’t get better after bankruptcy I continued to drown both financially and in life with my ex. I never paid toward these. I know, this was bad. Covid happened, my credit report shows I was current for random months in 2020 and 2021. I never asked for a deferment or forbearance. Dec 2021 they put my account as a charge off. Occasionally I would get letters asking to settle etc. my divorce was final in 2022 and I’m still just trying to survive and care for my kids. I left with nothing to my name just for my safety of me and my kids.
My credit report states my last payment was March 2019. Today I get a different letter from Asset Recovery Solution about the debt and then attempting to collect.
I live in Indiana. I’m not sure what to do or how much to pay attention to this letter or worry. Again it states my last payment was March 2019 I believe I’m past statute of limitations, but also those random times my account is reported current which it most certainly wasn’t I’m concerned.
I’m well aware the decisions I made are my fault both choosing the husband I did that destroyed my life and my inability to make a payment is some karma from all of it.
Thank you for any insight.

I get it. I still drive a car from 2001 I bought in 2003. I bought my house way before I took out the loans. I am 62 now I make less than you. Just trying to make it day by day on my own. No real savings. Keep the faith things will turn around. I never thought I would get rid of 170,000 in loans as I did Take an egg, write the name of the company that owns the loan, and smash it! Worked for me 🙏

Your account will be marked "current" under Bankruptcy and probably during the whole Covid ordeal. Your loan was definitely sold. Still wouldn't acknowledge owing anyone who owns the loan now. They did not loan it to you. Just sit on it for now. I would. I went through double bankruptcy myself due to student loans. Fortunately I was able to have my Navient private loan and my Fed loans discharged because of school fraud.

I feel like I should have fought for it more in the bankruptcy, but honesty looking back my mental capacity and being so stressed on my marital and family life I had no business thinking of anything past 3 months time spans.

I would just continue taking care of what's important in life and forget about them. I defaulted around the same time as you it seems, and I made it past the SOL (4 years in Pa). I get letters from whoever bought my loans and it even says on there that they can no longer sue me.

I wish mine said they can no longer sue, but I haven’t seen that wording unfortunately. That’s what I started freaking out of the SOL restarted when they put me in “current” status and I didn’t ask for it and this new letter from assets recovery came rolling in today.

Screw Navient! They've been sued so many times. NEVER admit you owe anything! If past SOL and off your credit report just don't acknowledge anything.

Does the current times they marked my account as current during Covid matter? I never asked them to do that I didnt talk to them once.

If it's really past the statute of limitations, which is 6 years for your state based on a quick google, fuck them! They can try to collect all they want but legally they can't do shit.

Thats what I was concerned about is if these times they said I was current when I wasn’t or put me into a forbearance I didn’t ask for due to Covid or something has screwed me on the statue of limitations or if it’s the last payment date listed. Which also isn’t accurate I know for a fact I didn’t pay anything back then either. 🤦🏻♀️ I have ignored everything. Just the terrifying moment of I don’t think I could be lucky enough to get out of this and not be held responsible/sued for it being 56k
