Fun things to do during World Cup if not attending games?

I don’t think I’ll attend games if current prices don’t drop but still want to enjoy the World Cup atmosphere even if I’m not attending games.

Sandbox VR at Legacy West is a fun one if you have a group of 4-6 people. Everyone is in the same physical space with full body tracking doing missions together, so it plays more like an event than just renting a headset. The tracking holds up really well even when the whole group is moving at once, no weird lag or disconnects mid-game. We did it with friends who were visiting and they still talk about it months later. Solid break from crowded bars.

Sandbox VR at Legacy West is a solid pick if you have a group that wants something high energy. We did it with some friends who were visiting and it was way more fun than we expected. You are running around a physical space with full body tracking doing missions together, not just standing in place with a headset on. We had tried Zero Latency a few months earlier and this felt like a step up in terms of tracking and immersion, probably because of the body sensors they put on you. Good break from crowded bars during the games.

I think there will be watch parties in Fort Worth too! Imagine a watch party at the Stockyards yeehaw!

Supposed to be a fan center with events at Fair Park.

I'm tempted to just go to the stadium even not having tickets and tail gate cause the vibes will be amazing.
But getting there is going to be a mess

Im doing this for games being played here, there are also bars around the stadium right?

search "Texas Live! Arlington"

Fan Fest at Fair Park, pop up experiences at various parks like Klyde Warren; and I think practices will be open - those will be at various fields and facilities around North Texas.

Stay home and away from people

You’ll definitely still be able to get the World Cup atmosphere without being in the stadium :) A lot of bars and restaurants usually go all out for big events like this, especially for bigger matches, so those can be really fun spots to watch! As it gets closer, keep an eye out for local posts too. There are usually watch parties, pop-ups, or random World Cup-themed events that get announced last minute.

During the matches the bars/pubs will be absolutely insane. 2014 was amazing.

All the bars and clubs around the att stadium are garbage and full of people who wanna fight. I hope they fix that first.

Came here to say this! Watch parties will be everywhere, it’s gonna be a great time.

We may have to make a megathread or something to keep up with events going on during the world cup!

Harwood arms is a vibe, and good HH deals!

Same boat here 😒 The FIFA Fan Festival at Fair Park is your best bet it’s completely free, no registration needed, and runs for 34 days. You get live match screenings on giant screens, food, music, and the whole international crowd energy without paying stadium price.

I’d go where the Brit’s are, those ppl like to party and honestly are some of the best at it. Plus they’ll be on vacay so you know they’ll be going extra hard
Ev07-@reddit (OP)
Hahaha sounds fun, do you where that might be at?

I was at the Londoner for France v England in 2022 and for a few England matches in the Euros. It is a blast
medisamurai@reddit
They’ll probably have designated bars they buy out I would bet. Clubs and venues are getting bought out all over the city
Starsgirl97@reddit
Don’t discount the Dutch parties.
medisamurai@reddit
for sure, but i think there are just gonna be more brits overall. Im sure its more of a older crowd thing but they were really into the Dallas tv show too.

Not get kidnapped by ICE if you’r brown… would be a good start to having fun

My son lives in Paris and was there during the recent Olympics. The tickets were obscenely expensive, so very few locals went. A shame, and may be similar here during the World Cup…

Yeah i mean its hard to justify spending $500+ for nosebleeds

The Londoner in Addison, or the one in Dallas will suffice. Fish and chips or cottage pie. Lots of beer. Intense soccer fans abound.
