Has megabus stopped all services from England now?

I tried buying tickets from london to edinburgh and it now redirects me to nx. This time last year megabus used to operate the service. Im aware they seriously cut their routes down but some were still left from my understanding.

They announced a major network reduction on 4th dec last year and it seems like their main focus these days is Scotland and southwest England

OP seems to be saying they have changed since. The linked article says they will continue to operate: all cross-border services between Scotland and England and Wales
Which would include London to Edinburgh.

NX have taken over all the cross-border routes now - see https://www.megabus.co.uk/our-network/

Ah, farewell to cheap fares then.
TGM_999@reddit
NX is pretty cheap, and Flixbus is cheaper still. I think Flix had a hand in killing Megabus
Mdann52@reddit
Have you looked at FlixBus? They have a lot of decent fares
Classic_Mammoth_9379@reddit
Weird that there is no press release for it though. Latest release listed seems to be about the NX partnership but in that one it basically says it’s just a redirect for the previously announced culls and claims that Megabus are still running the Scotland - England routes themselves!

Yup, this is what I meant. The england-scotland routes were unaffected. But I cant find them now.
Mdann52@reddit
NX now operate these instead of Megabus, hence the redirect.
Looks like it happened at the start of this year
Carl-Newchat25@reddit
National Express has had such routes all along. I think Megabus found their network unviable once Flixbus came along and therefore prefer to promote Nat Ex.

Why not just fly from London to Edinburgh? There’s plenty of flight options
DameKumquat@reddit
Or get a cheap train if you book in advance with split fares and a Railcard - and there may be secret fares on Seatfrog for at least part of it, too.
tomelwoody@reddit
Or just fly and save yourself 4+ hours and probably a bunch of money too
TheOlddan@reddit
Getting to the airport at one end, then out the airport at the other and into the city centre eat quite a bit into that time advantage vs just stepping off the train in the city centre though.

I got the megabus from Exeter to Bristol in February so they definitely are still around
Mdann52@reddit
It's actually operated by Stagecoach, not Megabus. They are essentially just a ticketing portal now
I-Spot-Dalmatians@reddit
Oh shit really? I’m sure it said megabus on the side of the coach??
Mdann52@reddit
It's branded Falcon now - but a lot haven't been repainted yet!

Megabus no longer operate in the UK. The final two cross border services ended just before Christmas. I checked the latest NCSD (National Coach Service Database) data to make sure.
Mdann52@reddit
They still operate in Scotland, don't they?
captainfishpie@reddit
try flix bus?
they are a relatively new company - but they do major routes. alot of bus drivers in Manchester switched to driving for them when stagecoach went to metroline.
Enemy-Taking-Charlie@reddit
Wouldn’t say they are new, Flixbus has existed in Europe for ages and been in the UK for a few years already
Kholdula@reddit
"Relatively" makes your entire reply redundant. Good job.
jj_sykes@reddit
Wiki says they are defunct
Goldman250@reddit
No wonder Dara forced Mock the Week to come back, if Megabus is gone he’ll need another source of income!
