Ordering from Dirty Bird with their 2 day shipping now. The Matrix products and prices are good, but I'm soured by my experience.

No offense taken bro. Unfortunately, it’s at the best we can offer it for at this time. It’s not a MAP item so we have it listed at our pricing with a pretty slim margin once cc fees are accounted for.
Just got an AP5P (the compact version). I am totally in love with it, softest shooter in my collection and it just has so much aura. CZ Scorpion isn't worth the price anymore in my opinion since it's gas blockback. Kuna is cool, but the AP5 is cooler but both are roller delayed so can't go wrong either way.
Just my two cents, but 22 long rifle really only has an effective distance of about 100 to 150 yards. Sure you can reach out to you about 200 but you’ll need significant understanding of holdovers and windage. Personally, I would not suggest learning to shoot distance on 22LR, but again just my initial input. I don’t know your specific situation, specific goals, or what you would like to reach out to. If you are just getting started in long range and would like some suggestions, information, or just have questions, I am here to answer to the best of my ability.
Appreciate your thoughtful reply. I'm new to shooting and have only ever done up to 30 yards. I don't hunt or anything, this is just a new hobby to keep me out of the house. My local range has a 200yd lane that I want to use and I'd like to get familiar and learn to shoot at a distance. I suppose 5.56 would be okay as I probably wouldn't burn through it in a distance rifle like I might with an AR-15.
I'm looking at buying a home defense gun in 9mm that I can slap my YHM9 on. There are so many good striker fired options, but the M9 is calling to me. Do I spend $600 to get the APX A1 Tactical or a CZ/IWI fully kitted out with a piston and booster, or do I spend twice that for the M9? My heart and recent Resident Evil replays say M9, my wallet says my IQ is lower than my freezer temp. It's just so fucking aesthetic.
I've been seeing a lot about the booster still being necessary since most direct-thread compatible cans for the M9 come in under 8 ounces, and the R9 is >11. It isn't a fixed barrel, etc etc. I'm still thinking on it, but there's so much that has to be done to get the M9 ready. I can buy one used, drop 200 on a booster, but then if it doesn't have dovetail front sights, I have to replace the slide to get suppressor height irons.

Just my two cents, but 22 long rifle really only has an effective distance of about 100 to 150 yards. Sure you can reach out to you about 200 but you’ll need significant understanding of holdovers and windage. Personally, I would not suggest learning to shoot distance on 22LR, but again just my initial input. I don’t know your specific situation, specific goals, or what you would like to reach out to. If you are just getting started in long range and would like some suggestions, information, or just have questions, I am here to answer to the best of my ability.

Appreciate your thoughtful reply. I'm new to shooting and have only ever done up to 30 yards. I don't hunt or anything, this is just a new hobby to keep me out of the house. My local range has a 200yd lane that I want to use and I'd like to get familiar and learn to shoot at a distance. I suppose 5.56 would be okay as I probably wouldn't burn through it in a distance rifle like I might with an AR-15.

I'm looking at buying a home defense gun in 9mm that I can slap my YHM9 on. There are so many good striker fired options, but the M9 is calling to me. Do I spend $600 to get the APX A1 Tactical or a CZ/IWI fully kitted out with a piston and booster, or do I spend twice that for the M9? My heart and recent Resident Evil replays say M9, my wallet says my IQ is lower than my freezer temp. It's just so fucking aesthetic.

I've been seeing a lot about the booster still being necessary since most direct-thread compatible cans for the M9 come in under 8 ounces, and the R9 is >11. It isn't a fixed barrel, etc etc. I'm still thinking on it, but there's so much that has to be done to get the M9 ready. I can buy one used, drop 200 on a booster, but then if it doesn't have dovetail front sights, I have to replace the slide to get suppressor height irons.
