i'm currently flirting with a guy whose special interest is aviation. what kind of questions can i ask him? what do pilots like discussing the most? (i'm not super big on STEM disciplines in general, so please forgive my ignorance)

DM me I will send you a key for my project which I think he will find interesting, you could say I am personal good friends with the owner if you really want to show off.

✈️ “What made you fall in love with flying?” ✈️ “Best view you’ve ever had from the cockpit?” ✈️ “Takeoff or landing—which do you enjoy more?” ✈️ “What plane do you love the most?” ✈️ “Do you still get excited every time you fly?”
Would I be a good co-pilot… or a distraction?
When are you taking me flying?” 😉
👉 Pilots love talking about flying experiences, favourite aircraft, and amazing views—just ask and let him tell the story.
rohepey@reddit
MUCH harder I guess, but why not try to have him focus on YOU and your hobbies?
MelodicFondant@reddit
Ask him what interests him most.
SIIP00@reddit
Ask him about his bucket list of planes to fly with. For me personally the 747 and A380 are at the top of the list since I have not had a chance to fly with them yet.
No-Improvement-1507@reddit
If you could only fly one plane for the rest of your life, what would it be?
DIRTYDOGG-1@reddit
Ask him what / where his first "solo" was like ( the first he actually took off, flew, and landed the plane all by himself) and if afterwards did he get carried and "dunked" in a dirty rainwater filled tub/ tank or get a huge pail of water thrown over him.
volan_usz@reddit
work, work, work, work,
Obvious-Aerie7425@reddit
His favorite plane. You can also get into the different types. You could also ask about the different engines in them.
SurroundSex@reddit
"Do you like Boeing or Airbus? Why? Ah yes, it does sound better"
PaulVla@reddit
Then tell him you like Comac
John3Fingers@reddit
Ask him what kind of plane he thinks you are.
dude496@reddit
Just ask him about flying, what's it like and what made him go into that career field.... Both of those should open up more conversation on it
pooperdough@reddit
Why he likes planes, what got him into it, his fav plane, small stuff like that will get him yapping
T33-L@reddit
Probably something about a mile high club.
TechnicalAsk3488@reddit
Honestly, just ask him; he would probably love to explain it all. Most people in aviation love explaining it to people that show an interest.
MajiktheBus@reddit
Ask him toi tell you about his three fav airframes, and why they are his favs. That should be enough to bore your socks off.

Hey Babe what flap setting you prefer to land with 🤣
