a girlfriend from high school had a //gs... it was one of the first 100 (i think) and was signed by jobs and woz. her dad treasures that thing.

If it was the Woz edition, it was not actually that limited. Which means you have a better chance of still finding one!

We had a IIGS with a RAMKeeper, we could boot to a GS/OS desktop in 5 seconds. It was dope.

I've never had a IIGS, but I do have the monitor that came with it.
It's a very excellent 15khz RGB monitor. I use mine with a Tandy 1000RL through a CGA2RGB converter (and other RGB-outputting computers, like an Amiga 1200).
Nice computer. I was always impressed with the 32 channel (!) wavetable audio.
