I don't think they cancelled all orders. Velocity claims they oversold. It happened on more than one sale. Some did get their ammo shipped out 3 weeks later. Some may have been delayed longer. Some gave up and asked Velocity to cancel their order. Velocity did cancel the orders and provided refund.
There were similar complaints about Velocity years ago.
I'll will still take my chances with Velocity as they have had some of the best prices on 5.56 ammo since I have been buying that ammo going back to 2022.
I bought PMC X-Tac from them back in August of last year for $384.5. Even back then it was a very good deal. No one else came close. I can accept disappointment sometimes with a vendor as long as I can get in on other good sale prices.

Technically yes but steel case ammo uses low grade mild steels. Extractors are going to be much harder, stronger steel. Realistically it doesnt make a difference unless you're feeding a rental machine gun at a busy range.

thats kinda what ive thought when it comes to 9mm, which is about 80% of my shooting in all honesty. Thats why I just been buying...but academy just bumped the price of their monarch brand 5.5% compared to last week. Thats kinda telling to me since I figure the big box stores have buying power and keep prices as low as they can so we dont shop at the LGS for our ammo....so if theyre doing it now, we are in for some rough sledding I think

yeah i mean you gotta buy in bulk 1k quantity minimum to get decent pricing then if you jump to 5k quantity that saves another penny but thats not including cost of equipment wear and tear. also not including things you can reuse if your using tumblers or sonic cleaner or soap and water metal pins to clean brass. depriming pins snap every 5k rounds of depriming all that stuff not to mention on a single stage press loading 1k plinking rounds how much time. lucky for me i got three presses progressive along time ago so my cost for equipment less than half of today’s prices

Fuck I thought I was the only one that had this issue! I have an email that says:
“Due to very popular demand, we oversold the Blazer. Because of the current “run on ammo” the re supply was delayed a little longer than we anticipated, however, it is in transit now. I apologize for the long wait on this. We are happy to refund you if you wish, however, given the shortage prices have increased dramatically, so I would suggest keeping the order if you can.”
I kept my order but it took a few weeks, not sure whats going on with Velocity but I would not recommend them.

I'd just get the Monarch steel case that is made by Magtech that sells for 20 CPR everyday and use their 10% off $300 promo and use my Academy credit card to get 5% more off and then get 1 to 5% from a popular case back website.
A friend bought the steel case Magtech and said it caused issues with his pistols buy many others report no issues.
I hold out for the brass deals. This past week I received my 115gr Blazer Brass order from Academy for about 19 CPR after discounts with shipping but not including tax.
