Traffic logs at KCXP

My friend almost had an incident at KCXP yesterday morning, 4-4-26 at 0855 local. A jet took off the opposite direction of active traffic 27 using 09 without making any radio calls. Went right over the top of my friend just before he rotated. NASA report filed but we would like the tail numbers in the pattern between 0850 and 0900 for witnesses. My commercial FlightAware account only goes back 24 hours for airports, 6 months for flights.

An ASRS report is insufficient for this. File a hotline report and call your FSDO.

I tried to get him to notify the Reno FSDO but he is reluctant to get them involved. Personally I think they should be.

No way to verify the radio calls through flight aware or adsb, however.... The jet was on the runway first. At 15:54:49 the jet was on the runway and your friend was still short of the runway on the other side.
Then overlapping transmissions are also a possibility.

Possibly. The runway has a little crown in the center. You can’t see traffic on opposing sides. No acknowledgment or calls whatsoever from the jet. When multiple planes are using the calm wind runway it’s pretty irresponsible to pull out on the opposing one without any calls. Whenever a transmission is stepped on you can hear the interference.

Negligent behaviour from the jet.

Totally agree. He already filled out a NASA report. I listened to the ATC recordings and never heard the Citation make a call. Several people using 27 that morning.

That really helps. Thank you.

ADSB Exchange is good. Think I've found it: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?replay=2026-04-04-15:55&lat=39.200&lon=-119.740&zoom=13.7
