Obtaining a PPL with Ativan history
Posted by TurboSoggiez@reddit | flying | View on Reddit | 1 comments
I have been interested in getting my PPL for a long time and I’m at the point where I finally want to make the jump to really start working towards getting my license.
However, I have been prescribed Ativan for panic attacks in the past. I know the FAA cares a lot about this when it comes to the medical examination and I am worried that this will cause my medical exam to fail and I won’t be able to obtain my license. I have not used or refilled my Ativan prescription in about a year however and I no longer have a need for it and don’t plan to refill my prescription ever.
Given my history, will I be fine when it comes to passing my medical exam? Or does this pretty much cook me when it comes to trying to get my PPL?Thanks to all that can help!
