blvck-soul@reddit
you have cinnamon but not salt and pepper???
idontknowjuspickone@reddit
OrangeClyde@reddit
There is an actual dish called cinnamon chicken
OkraMaleficent9329@reddit
If I had the choice between cinnamon chicken and non seasoned chicken, I'd just choose the latter
honey__harlot@reddit
it’s actually really good ngl. there’s a crockpot dish for cinnamon kissed chicken that’s so good
throwawaynoided@reddit
A little kiss would be good, OP violently groped his chicken with cinnamon
mshell1924@reddit
I add a pinch of cinnamon to every red stew I make, it really gets rid of the chicken/meat smell, if you know what I mean.
But not cinnamon by itself 😬
OpportunityNext9675@reddit
Cinnamon is pretty common in shawarma and Mexican braised meat, a little goes a loooong way though. Also Chinese.
itemluminouswadison@reddit
tbf, cinnamon is typically a savory spice in the east
reedzkee@reddit
In mexico too
hannaheliza_@reddit
No you didn’t
indieauthor13@reddit
I seasoned a chicken breast with garlic and brown sugar once. It was delicious. I don't think it would've worked if it was just brown sugar though
dirtybo0ts@reddit
No. You didn’t have to.
😐
Traumagatchi@reddit
You really didn't
CocoCoconutz_@reddit
teratodentata@reddit
“Had to improvise”
No you didn’t
Ghettoo_Bharbhie@reddit
petewondrstone@reddit
Cinnamon is actually pretty good, but you need cumin and turmeric but salt and pepper and then you’re cooking
Infamous-Hope-5950@reddit
A leaf from a tree would be a lot better
Proud-Leave3602@reddit
No the hell you didn’t.
LilCheese73@reddit
panicpixiememegirl@reddit
This is really bad i hate it and i hope u hated it too
meowiful@reddit
Cinnamon chicken was featured prominently on an episode of Little House on the Prairie. Doesn't sound like you had all the other ingredients, but I'm just saying it is a thing.

CasuallyMediocre@reddit
When I saw this picture, my mind automatically went back to Laura tearing off the cayanne pepper label.
Turbulent-Matter501@reddit
Ooh that does sound good! This is my favorite chicken and cinnamon recipe: https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/moroccan_chicken_with_lemon_and_olives/
Turbulent-Matter501@reddit
I use a lot more cinnamon than the recipe calls for and it always tastes great.
Mrpandacorn2002@reddit
Ok making progress on a curry you need a lot more ingredients tho
jennalx@reddit
Cinnamon
47D@reddit
I once added to pumpkin spice to my spaghetti sauce, it turned out terrible.
Sometimes, it's better to just not season something than to give it the wrong seasoning.
Plain chicken with some hot sauce > Cinnamon Chicken
skyed_driver@reddit
Why in the hell did you do that lol just experimenting or accidentally? One time I accidentally put cinnamon instead of cayenne in my bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and it was also ruined
MrsOleson@reddit
Very Laura Ingalls.
oceans159@reddit
damn this picture is more effective than ozempic. good job op!
GDarkX@reddit
i think having no salt might genuinely be a life-threatening situation
LonnieJaw748@reddit
That’s why it’s my number one item I suggest when a conversation of Zombie Apocalypse comes up. The first thing you should hoard for your compound is salt. Like a ton of it.
EnkiduTheGreat@reddit
I've got a box full of old salt lamps in the attic. There's about 100 lb of pink salt up there.
Odd_Fly4851@reddit
Pink salt is not Iodized. Iodine is essential.
EnkiduTheGreat@reddit
I live 200 ft from brackish water, and have chickens. I'll be fine in terms of iodine.
LonnieJaw748@reddit
By pink salt do you mean sodium nitrate (a.k.a InstaCure #1)?
LeatherPatch@reddit
How many have you licked?
EnkiduTheGreat@reddit
If I'm being honest, I've probably licked all of em.
FeverInHeels@reddit
so how did it taste like ;o
roughczech@reddit
Reminds me of the time when I was really high and instead of cinnamon, I put in my greek yogurt some paprika.
One for the sink... Sometimes no spice is better than the wrong spice. I would do salt and pepper
ZombieChief@reddit
Yeah, that's not how seasoning works.
tkrr@reddit
So how was it?
Awkward-Equivalent-5@reddit
Ok now get some coconut cream, cumin, cardamom, tyme, some crushed red pepper flakes, and some curry powder
Exact-Gas744@reddit
what about salt and pepper
Square_Mission_849@reddit
Ran out of seasoning
Knightvision27@reddit
So I used powder wood bark
Boring-Taro-2529@reddit
I’m guessing he doesn’t even have salt and pepper .
YesPlease_VeryMuchSo@reddit
Salt and Pepper? Now you're just trying to 🎶push it🎵
spesimen@reddit
MyMomsTastyButthole@reddit
Salt and...
What's this?
PEPAAAAAAAA!
migsmog@reddit
Damn like not even the little paper packets you get with plastic utensils sometimes?
Mascbro26@reddit
Those are seasonings. Which OP ran out of. So they used cinnamon. All caught up?
DisastrousPepper2897@reddit
Not even maybe some onion, garlic, or herbs that you could cook it with???
mjheil@reddit
This time of year where I live there are wild onions growing everywhere...
deliciousroadhead@reddit
Yeah I have 5000 green onions in my yard
The_Disapyrimid@reddit
No
Fishstixxx16@reddit
Just don't at that point wtf is wrong with you
PropheticUtterances@reddit
You really didn’t
monsteralover1344@reddit
Bitch wtf 😳
fermatajack@reddit
Cinnamon is notoriously not a seasoning.
thewonderends@reddit
Did you just have one seasoning?
realpersondotgov@reddit
Maybe he uses adobo cajun or all purpose rub?
Acewasalwaysanoption@reddit
To repeat the question, did they have a single seasoning?
Queen_of_Fish@reddit
Tbh half the time I just throw a bunch of slap ya mama seasoning on whatever meat I’m cooking. I get by with it as the only seasoning when I’m in a poorly stocked kitchen in the middle of nowhere on a work trip
Petraretrograde@reddit
People forget the "rub" part
MyMomsTastyButthole@reddit
He's about 112th of the way to a nice garam masala
Dramatic-Quiet-818@reddit
yes lol prob white
Hexogen@reddit
Probably has a drawer of leftover sauce packets from various fast food places
MadamSnarksAlot@reddit
No one is this white.
GibMirMeinAlltagstod@reddit
Their choices were cinnamon and arsenic. Decisions had to be made
Scared_Rise5787@reddit
Hey OP, please venmo me for a new phone screen. I punched/broke this one in anger.
BraumsSucks@reddit
No you didnt have to put cinnamon on the chicken boss
GrooveAndGravy52@reddit
You didn’t haaaave to!
No-Objective2143@reddit
Ugh
prostatewhispers1@reddit
You didn’t have to do anything bud
MadamSnarksAlot@reddit
This is just rage bait.
bosoxsam@reddit
You did not have to do this
Plus_Possibility_383@reddit
most of these posts make me think the average male poster here doesn’t attract women what’s so ever
Odd_Middle_7179@reddit
Does cinnamon actually count as a seasoning tho? I thought it was just a spice.
Room_Temp_Coffee@reddit
I promise you there were other options
SousVideDiaper@reddit
Using nothing would've been a better option
Old_timey_brain@reddit
:) I always use cinnamon in my fried chicken, but mix it in with the flour, before breading them.
MisterNefarious@reddit
Tapping into what makes fried chicken and waffles work imo
Old_timey_brain@reddit
Yes, then take each bite of that juicy fried chicken and dredge it through the apple sauce for a delicious mouthful.
butt-holg@reddit
👁️👄👁️
Express-Season-6116@reddit
You don't have like two bucks to get something to season that with?
LonnieJaw748@reddit
Or even walk down the street and steal a lemon from someone’s yard?
ZeldaZealot@reddit
We know how that goes.
Express-Season-6116@reddit
Go in a fast food joint's dining room and get some salt and pepper packets from the ketchup stand. Or a gas station hot dog condiments stand.
maywellflower@reddit
No fresh onions, raw garlic, fresh peppers, lime /lemon juice, vinegar, butter, tomatoes, - just saying, could used one or few of those of those to help seasoned the chicken with cinnamon with out the basic salt and black pepper plus other seasonings and powders....
mlg2433@reddit
You chose cinnamon over having no seasoning? You’re an absolute lunatic lol
redditrnumber1@reddit
Ew I would have just ate it unseasoned
impstein@reddit
I mean cinnamon is part of Jerk seasoning, isn't it? Or is it nutmeg.. either way at least you tried
clonked@reddit
No, no they didn’t.
impstein@reddit
Lol 🤣 you're right
Spirited-Juice4941@reddit
I heard some vintage Italian recipes put cinnamon in their pasta sauce. Tried it with my Sphagett a few nights ago and it was great.
It wasn’t the only spice tho, so I really have no idea what only cinnamon would be like.
ChoiceEmu9859@reddit
Greek spaghetti sauce is made with cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. It was the inspiration for Cincinnati style chili.
Turbulent-Matter501@reddit
One of my favorite chicken dishes features cinnamon. Yum.
CumTrumpet@reddit
A Top Ramen seasoning packet would have been a better option. That's way too much fuckin cinnamon.
Independent_Pie5933@reddit
No cayenne?
Crafty_Sprinkles7978@reddit
You think he looked between cinnamon and cayenne and CHOSE cinnamon?!?
Alsweets0609@reddit
Its condiment season now buddy. Sear it and turn the heat to low with a lid. Add whatever you can mustard, pickle juice, ketchup, salad dressing 😂
riteaboutnowx@reddit
you should have gone to the gas station and got a ramen packet or SOMETHING
Difficult_Price7132@reddit
Ew sorry but ew lol
NiobiumThorn@reddit
If you live in North America or Europe it is spring. Nettles and wild onions are plentiful in many environments, even human-dominated ones.
Boil the nettles, and look for weirdly green patches of grass springing up taller and brighter than the rest. If they smell like onions, you win wild onions.
zimrastaman@reddit
How did it taste is there any salt there too
ShortRoundFlatHalf@reddit
I beg your pardon? Cinnamon takes a back seat to no babka! People love cinnamon. It should be on tables at restaurants along with salt and pepper. Anytime anyone says, “Oh, this is so good. What’s in it?” The answer invariably comes back, “cinnamon!.” Cinnamon! Again and again. Lesser babka? I think not.
Crafty_Sprinkles7978@reddit
Thank you for this!! Time to rewatch Seinfeld.
bleu_waffl3s@reddit
Sorrry
okay065@reddit
oh HELL no
the-smashed-banjo@reddit
Dude. At least let it marinate. Living beings died for this. And life is too short to eat like this
professorseagull@reddit
You didn't have to
EmanTercesa@reddit
Probably slapped anyways
KonamiHatchibori@reddit
Just scratch your eyebrows vigorously over them.
sweet_juicypeachh21@reddit
I can kind of see the vision. My mom makes a spicy chicken with cinnamon in the chile mixture. I guess if you got no spices this may be a solid choice
planting49@reddit
"had to"
kilofeet@reddit
What the hell is this? Are you a twenty-year-old bodybuilder? Fix this or I'm getting a lawyer
HelpfulTooth1@reddit
No it ain’t
MisterNefarious@reddit
I used cinnamon on salmon once and honestly it was kind of bomb
TheDarkNebulous@reddit
Add some green cardamom, cumin, and coriander and im in
Ianofminnesota@reddit
So am I to assume you have no salt and pepper?
RoundTiberius@reddit
At least there's something on it. 99% of the gym bro posts are just plain chicken or fish
