I've seen all of the movies, as well as the modern shows (from Muppets Tonight onwards), but I'd never really seen much of the classic Muppet Show outside of the odd clip. From January this year I decided to go through the full 5 seasons of the show from the start with an episode a day - it's so good! There's the odd celebrity guest who I have absolutely no idea who they are, but every episode is entertaining, funny and endearing.

I truly love the movies, as a sort of addendum to the show, but the original show was the perfect formula.
I've wanted them to bring it back for as long as I have memory. It was the one thing that every disparate corner of my highly dysfunctional family agreed on: They all loved The Muppet Show.
I'm desperately hoping they bring the show back. The recent single-episode anniversary special was wonderful.

They're so so good! I'm so glad they originally found a home in the UK to get The Muppet Show started - the fact that US tv producers had no faith in the show in the first place is criminal. I'm also really glad I'm watching the UK broadcast versions to see the full episodes. It's crazy to think they they were all a couple of minutes longer than the US versions due to the US having more ad breaks than the UK. Some of my favourite musical spots have been from those UK broadcast spots.
A couple of my favs are 'To Morrow' and 'Any Old Iron'.
