One of my best memories is when they first opened a jelly bean store (I guess it must have been Jelly Belly?) and they sold the colors separately!!! My father took me and he bought us a whole BAG FULL of just black, because it was our favorite!!!! That was HEAVEN!

Both were my overall favorites, but the citrus ones (yellow and orange, and most brands also the green) were almost always good. Oh, I LOVE the old skool big-ass jellybeans the best! Because red is my favorite color, I'd usual start with red, followed by a milder flavored white and pink, then the puckeringly sour yellow and green, followed by purple and black. I was never a jellybean fan until Starburst Jelly Beans. OMG they are amazing. But I've decided the best and only way to eat them is one of each color at once. The taste is just perfect. So when I got back from Sam's with the big bucket of them I separated out each color, then put back the same amount of each one. The fam got the rest. So my personal bucket has an even number of each flavor to make my perfect taste. I'm a grown ass adult and I'll live my life my way. 🙂

Yes. There's a flavour in the red dye that tastes awful to me. Smarties (the Canadian kind) had a campaign back in the day about eating the red ones last and I just refused to eat them because of the red dye taste.
