This is one of my childhood favorites! Great to actually see one in action.

I’ve never actually seen one used for heavy lift. Usually tanked for wildfire - which is still super fun up close.

Amazing machine but I wonder how much fuel they have, where are the tanks?

Very cool

If it's an F model it was rebuilt at least in the 90's/00's and I see composite blades which are pretty new addition to these aircraft. The white and orange blades from Erickson are their composite blades.

I would help pay to use one of these to lift the big blue bug for a tour of the city:

Whoa, look at that, what a beautiful machine

The airframe is so cool. I have never seen one in action but believe it can carry much larger & heavier loads.

I had 5 land in a semicircle around me out on the ramp once and it was undoubtedly the loudest sound I’ve ever heard in my life

It looks like an alien insect

oh hell yeah, are they working on the state house? I guess that's one way to get the independent man up and down off the top

It looked like they were swapping out A/C units (or something) on top of the mall.

Watched one scoop up water right over the top of me when I was a kid. So massive in person and the drop bucket it carried was huge compared to the Huey's that were also on the fire.
