Is 2 points obstructed view or control violation going to make it harder to find a job?

I only have 6 months to 1 year experience and just got this recently.
muck2profit@reddit
What did you have on the dash board?
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
air freshener
muck2profit@reddit
They cited you for having air freshener as obstructed view????
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
Yes

Wow, that cop was an asshole!

It’s fine my only question is between me and someone with 3 months experience with no points on record who do you think will get hired ? It’s just 2 points . Anyone will eventually get points on their MVR .
muck2profit@reddit
I've people put way more stuff then air freshener. Something ain't adding up

3 hours ago OP "I have accident with property damage in my record with 5 points for reckless driving , will it be hard for me to find a job? What companies will take me ?"
muck2profit@reddit
Brah .
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
So it's still 2 points obstructed view. Does it matter?
muck2profit@reddit
Every companies is different, you just have to keep applying. Closed mouth don't get fed. Keep trying
AdagioEducational124@reddit
Oof. The problem is, why would they hire you when the other guy has 0 points. Yes, It will make it harder to find a new job.
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
What is the other guy have less experience say 3 months ?
AdagioEducational124@reddit
I know Mega Carriers don't really care about points that much and allow up to 1 to 2 moving violations. You can get a job easily with schneider, rohl or swift. They hire anybody, even entry level truck drivers. Just make sure you don't get a speeding ticket cause that is a big deal to any trucking companies. Having a couple points on your record is fine, It will just make it hard to get a high paying truck driving job. No worries tho, you can make that up when you're getting more experience driving a semi truck.
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
It almost seems it’s not common to have zero points the first 2 years driving a truck . Yes it is possible but it’s not common . First 2 years is learning phase . Time to make mistakes. Time to see what happens if you fuck up . Those who don’t get points most likely been doing mostly easy routes or not driving as much .
AdagioEducational124@reddit
I would try to get those points knocked off my record. Just so I can keep my record clean to help me get a better truck job that pays 100k a year like Walmart. Those high paying jobs are competitive.

Wasabi-Kungpow@reddit
Can that be taken with a CDL? I know FL wont let you take a course to reduce points if you have one
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
My violation is also NON MOVING violation obstructed view so technically that does not affect insurance
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
Depends on the state yes the traffic lawyer already said the points will be gone in a year or I just simply need to attend a traffic safety course and it will be zero instantly
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
I will try to see and talk to DMV if I take a driving course if I can have it reduced to 1 point or better zero points. It says it can be up reduced by 3 points but how can that be when I only have 2 points.
Kkalemauser@reddit
Hire a lawyer. Fight every ticket.
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
It’s done I already accepted it since it’s just 2 points no big deal
soldierdec08@reddit
Always fight the ticket. It doesn’t matter if you’re right or wrong. You will learn that when you get more fines.
Redsoxdragon@reddit
Kinda
It's not gonna be a job disqualifier by any means, but if you're applying to a position, you won't be picked over someone with no points. It's an insurance thing
But realistically, companies are hard up for good drivers and picking you up isn't like hiring someone with a dui or a bunch of dieing tickets.
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
But between me with a year experience, and someone with no experience and clean driving record with no points , who do you think has the edge?
East_Indication_7816@reddit (OP)
whats dieing tickets?
