Finally got to the startup been working on it for like 4-5 years now mostly collecting parts. Its getting close though, cant wait to start going crazy on the interior
K24a2 turbo 6 speed LSD and a bunch more goodies

This looks wildly impractical and loud. I love it.
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Haha i love it the more impractical the better π cant wait to try to drive it on the street ππ

Dont even wanna think about it ππ Just on 3 AEM guage pods i just spent like 700 π if i didnt fab everything myself wouldve been insane. I definitely coulda saved some on the parts if i went cheaper route though
LVBeatzMusic@reddit
Shoo wee bro, $700 for gauges is uh.. it's a choice
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
π fr AEM X Series they are scamming
curiousbydesign@reddit
That's gonna' be fun to drive! Wish you well dude!
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Thanks man appreciate the kind words π hopefully get it driving soon i cant wait
ClosedL00p@reddit
Thatβs gonna get down with some good drag radials
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Yeah got some big ol' 22x9s on the front lol hopefully that helps π
News_without_Words@reddit
Is that coupler zupposed to move that much?
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Yeah its called a "wiggins" style clamp. Its basically a quick release clamp. The shop i got the turbo from was using it (bought a partout). Im gunna replace it though nkt a fan of the style it moved ariund and is kinda loud lol
TheFrostNova_@reddit
Dumb question but Does that intercooler have to have the inlets facing driver side or can you also flip them to the opposite side?
My setup would require those inlets to be on the passenger siee
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
You could just rotate the intercooler around and it would work just the same, doesnt matter what side its facing aslong as its getting direct air. Could definitely make it work on the other side. I use a 4 inch thick treadstone intercooler, im not sure if u can find this one or if it has to be fabbed. But no you could have the inlets face wherever you wanted. I have a similar setup on my radiator where the inlets point inwards instead of to the side to fit.

I appreciate the response! Thank you
Sick build btw π€πΌ

Gonna be a MEAN little ripper, enjoy!
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Thanks bro i will! Im hoping i can keep up with some fast cars now ππ€
East_Resident2418@reddit
Thatβs badass!!
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Thanks bro π im hoping i can not wait to drive jt
geekphreak@reddit
Yooo! I miss those CRXs
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Yeah you really dont see them around anymore. And this one is no rust, been a race car for over half its entire life garage kept so its actually besides being super cluttered from being built, a super clean shell. Cant wait until i paint it and it looks like an actual car π
JDP6693@reddit
That sounds heavenly and the build looks insane. What kinda numbers are you building for?
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Thanks bro, im hoping so. Right now my setup should be good to max out around 600whp on e85, and my "street" pump gas tune ~450whp. It weighs about 2100-2200 lbs all done. Should be an animal π
JDP6693@reddit
Welcome fam! Love me a CRX, wish I never sold mine.
That is, undoubtedly, going to be an animal. Itβs wild that 450/600 seems βconservativeβ these days but realistically if itβs set up well thatβs not a cumbersome level of power. Just a fat number for a go kart ππ
Keep us updated on progress! Especially the first drives and interior build.
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Thanks man! And yeah its a fun chassis i never picked it out specifically just kinda fell into my hands. I love the chassis sometimes i wish i had an EG or something so i could just buy a kit and bolt on, the CRX has been almost entirely custom fab for everything. 100% garage built so been a grind but feels worth it at the end
And yeah right now its a stock internals k24 with billet timing guides and heavy duty chain, ported oil pump, 50deg vtc gear, 1300cc injectors, and some other goodies. Im thinking 600 on e85 is about as far as i wanna push it so i dont blow it up until i build the motor. Going to be crazy though im hoping it will be a low 10sec high 9 sec car in the quarter for SFWD. 450 will be almost on wastegate, running a 10lb spring so on the street ill have it around 14psi or so, crazy what a 4 cyl can do with a little boost..
Thanks bro definitely will, i have full carpets and every interior panel, once im done with my 10 point roll cage going to make the inside look really clean (hopefully) ππ€
Sharpymarkr@reddit
What are you planning as far as tire specs? Putting down that power is going to be a challenge.
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Right now i have 13x9 VMS drag wheels with 22x9 (i believe may be a little bigger) slicks for the track and for the street i was actually able to make a 17 inch wheel fit with my front widebody and on street i run 17x9 with a 255/45/17 Toyo r888r. Probably running some of the biggest specs on any honda honestly ππ
Sharpymarkr@reddit
Lol, I retract my previous statement.
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Haha yeah even though i got big tires i highly doubt its going to help much π i think im still spinnin the entire way no way to stop that lol β€οΈ
crappyroads@reddit
Hell yeah, man! First startups feel so good. Get it!
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Thanks bro! Yeah been so long as definitely refreshing. Its like chugging a redbull, im wide awake a little horny and ready to finish the build now
txkwatch@reddit
Awesome! Love the crx!
OddMathematician6102@reddit (OP)
Thanks man me too you never see them any more i cant wait to get this one driving
