There's no degrees to standup comedy. It's binary. It's either great and you laugh your ass off or weak as hell and you just stand there, sipping your drink, a "can we go now" look plastered all over your face.
And there's only a handful of people on this planet who're able to grab a mic, yapp about wife beaters or their dead sister, who can actually be funny.
The Balkans is a transeastwest area, both influences are present, especially in former Yugoslav countries and even Yugoslavia itself was made up of western and oriental(ottoman) countries. I associate the most recent western Eastern Europe split with the iron curtain, with Yugoslavia being outside it, but equally influenced by both sides.
We literally consumed and appreciated both cultures equally, watched Tom and Jerry alongside Nu pogodi. Not to mention other art like literature, movies, music(although in popular genres it was mostly western), etc.
I divide Europe in to 3 parts which they are divided in to
Central Europe: Countries that use kurwa or malaka or siktir
Eastern Europe: Countries that don't use those words and east of central european countries
Western Europe: Countries that don't use those words and west of central european countries
Funny story, I’m from Cyprus and I used to play a disgusting amount of League of Legends; The EUNE server is filled with Eastern European players who refuse to speak English and assumes everyone speaks their language and especially overrun by Poles, so before moving to Greece I genuinely had seen word Kurwa and had it used at me more often than Malakas.
He said Poland to Greece, not Warsaw to Athens. His theory is correct if you take the most western point of Poland and the most western point of Greece.

Someone might get offended but in my opinion everything behind Berlin is Eastern Europe.

Vienna too?
Cautious_Self6861@reddit
Especially Vienna
sezzy_14@reddit
Austro Hungarian empire eastern European by definition
GreatWolf_NC@reddit
For Hungary, geographically you could say central, so do the slovaks, but politically middle-ages eastern europe, socially balkans.
latroknak_is@reddit
Well, but also a definitely, pure kurva on the above suggested distinction
GreatWolf_NC@reddit
De nem mindegy, hogy kurva, vagy kurwa xD

The Balkan linguistic bridge nobody asked for but everyone recognizes. Kurwa and malaka. Universal constants.
ya_pidoras_@reddit
i’ve always seen it as everything east of berlin is eastern europe

Try convincing the Polish people that they are not in Central Europe...
Otherwise pretty weak performance for a standup comedy.
Zash1@reddit
There's nothing wrong in being an eastern European, but we just have to decide that Russia is Asia.
