I made a quick RAM value score for deal hunting:
Score = (MT/s ÷ CL) ÷ (price per GB)
The idea is simple:
- more MT/s = better bandwidth
- lower CL = better latency
- lower price/GB = better value
ignore RGB marketing nonsense.
It’s obviously not a full performance benchmark, but as a shopping shortcut, it seems surprisingly useful.
Would love to know where this breaks down or how you’d improve it.
