Display case ideas

Anyone have good display case ideas? My mom and I got my stepdad his all time favorite gun for his birthday. Its a Springfield M1A Standard. He said if he ever had that gun, he would display it on a wall. https://grabagun.com/sprgfld-m1a-308-blk-syn-10rd-ca.html

All you have to do is get a regular wooden shadow box. One that is a little deeper, lay the pistol down and then you can take two screws with steel bushings to add points of contact so the pistol sits in there.
You can use some black or green felt from hobby lobby as the background. Pretty cheap project.

Maybe... get him a single or double glass door long gun cabinet. Will give him an excuse (or you) to expand the collection :)
