Wasn't there already news already that the Arrow Lake Plus MSRP prices were just fake MSRP?

Intel not sellin shit son 😭

Pretty sure their fabs are maxed out
lemonsieurtech@reddit
Anyway, who buys Intel CPUs, lol?
SmashStrider@reddit
They still have a market share of over 70% compared to AMD, so.... most people?
Pugs-r-cool@reddit
Most of that market share is legacy and fleet purchases, chips that were bought before AMD overtook them, or from people who have no say in what chip they get.
Almost no one in the custom PC space is currently buying Intel chips. Of course that segment makes up a tiny % of the overall market, but it’s the segment that makes up the bulk of online discussion on reddit and elsewhere.
SmashStrider@reddit
Bulk of the online discussion is only when considering actual tech spaces, plus the original poster is trying to imply that supposedly no one buys Intel CPUs at all, so it does not matter what online discussion says, if it's not representative of ground reality.

Most people because of their dominance of large volume prebuilts.

Wasn't 2025 a year ago

Yes Sorry my mistake in the tile “compared to 2025”

On occasions when a poster notices a title mistake after posting, but before significant commenting, it's usually best to delete the first and and post a new version with the correction.
(Thread titles can't be changed on Reddit, but post contents can be edited, and posts can be deleted.)
In this case, it's undesirable to delete posts once they've garnered comments, so we'll endure the confusion.

TL;DR: Intel plans another CPU price increase in May, adding to earlier hikes, aiming for a total 30% rise by 2025 due to soaring AI data center demand.
Yeah, Tweakdown should let their AI model know it's 2026. It's making mistakes.
fo1mock3@reddit
Between GPU prices, inflation, and now CPUs… building a new rig in 2026 is starting to feel like a luxury again.
zagblorg@reddit
Don't forget RAM, SSDs and now HDDs!
SlamedCards@reddit
Intel and AMD are both hiking prices because they are both sold out for months. Shifting consumer CPU volume to data center skus as AI agents need lots of CPU's.
TheAppropriateBoop@reddit
PC building already expensive, now CPUs getting hit too. At this rate, mid-range builds are gonna feel like high-end builds.
Vaxtez@reddit
Looks like my 12100F will hold out a bit longer. Might even just go for a used i5 12400 at this point.
Bobosauruss@reddit
Ain't no one buying their CPUs anyways.
Goodyes666@reddit
Intel as ever, say one thing, that might be not. Just for the interest of the shareholders among other things. I still say that when, if new Intel core's 285 290K succesor supposed to be by end year with 52 cores will be reelased, if so, I bet that will not come with 52 cores, or will not be by end of year. Take my words example as the 10% increase in May, may be or not. I bet not

Im even thinking about "upgrade" from 11400f to 5700x3d for a while now , damn .

Did you even read that headline before submitting it?

I'm relieved I bought my new setup last year, well before all this mess.
