Question on EASA BIR (Basic IR)
Posted by oro_93@reddit | flying | View on Reddit | 3 comments
Hi all
Currently considering pursuing the EASA BIR (basic instrument rating) addon to my PPL. Would love to hear from other BIR students/graduates on their experience so far:
-
Groundschool recommendations (Bristol GS seems one of the few providers?). Any good physical studying materials besides digital courses (e.g. Erlend Vaage)?
-
Difficulty level and scope of materials compared to PPL
-
Practical course: total hours, approach Sim vs Actual flying?
Thanks!

I think it will somewhat depend on what country you are in.

Consider asking this at www.pprune.org for lots of EASA-smart people to see.
