From a Corrupt Third-World Country to America: Why I'm Worried We're Becoming the Same. Am I wrong?

I came from a third-world country over 20 years ago. I became a citizen and I love this country. I'm sad to see that both sides of the political spectrum do bad things like insider trading and the fraud in Minnesota and the list keeps growing. No one is held accountable or prosecuted. In my home country, corruption was so widespread that people forgot the principles of honesty and truth. The feeling I once had about America that it stood for righteousness and doing what is right is fading. I'm starting to see how even powerful political leaders, at the state level and above, get caught but rarely face real consequences. I hope we will do what’s right regaless titles. Without consequences, the wrongdoing will only continue.
