Missed $34k CR-V EX-L deal… now $36k 😩 Advice?

Hey all,
I’m 30 and looking to buy a new car. I wanted a Honda CR-V EX-L and was getting \~$34k OTD offers in March, but had to delay due to an unexpected expense. Now dealers are quoting \~$36k (MSRP \~$36.8k), which is over my $34k max budget.
Should I keep trying to negotiate, or look at other SUVs/sedans instead?
Must-haves:
• Good safety features
• Rear AC vents (preferred)
• Reliability
Any suggestions? TIA.

You shouldn’t be shopping for a car at your max budget IMO. Get something used, CPO so you can afford to take care of it

Do you think going for a Sedan is a better option for now?

No, get CPO rav 4

That all depends on what you need your vehicle for

The best deals rn are the 2025 mazda cx5s, they are nicer than the crvs, will be more reliable and can be had in upper trims for cheaper than 34k. You coukd probably work out a premium plus or turbo for that price point

Get a Mazda CX-5 or CX-50

Which trim do you suggest?

Why don't you lease? You can most likey get a great lease deal in the 300s
