Dude... Get on mudflap with a cash back credit card. You're paying premium prices for what? For Loves points?
Loan-Pickle@reddit
You better get a free shower with that.
snowman741@reddit
Just one free shower? Better get free showers for a week
Tots989135@reddit
Wait, you shower more than once a week? Who are you trying to impress?
Timmy98789@reddit
Yeah, and all of the lot lizards.
snowman741@reddit
Lol lmao I don't need any lot lizards and long lasting side effects from them that never go away. But free showers and free food I'll take
Timmy98789@reddit
You dirty perve, you get them Methany gals to be your therapist and put on a talent show at the minimum.

"MAGA"🤣
Older_cyclist@reddit
How do you make a living at these prices. I heard United Airlines is charging $10 additional per bag. Can you increase your rate?
Exact_Concern_4795@reddit (OP)
It takes a village to not accept cheap freight. As long as there’s someone willing to accept loads for penny’s on the dollar. Our rates will never increase.
etherxmancer@reddit
Unionize and pick the scabs
Defiant-Medicine3014@reddit
Keep taking away CDLs from the foreigners then
trucksarekewl@reddit
You could literally Thanos snap every foreign cdl holder and nothing would change. I truly hope you understand they are not the problem.
cyrax99@reddit
Racism aside (because racism is retarded) foreign labor does drive down rates in all industries. It is for cultural reasons, not because foreigners are some kind of bad people. The thing is in many cultures they live with many people in the household, many may have 3 generations in a house, living with parents is normal and not frowned on. So you will have TONS of people contributing to the bills in a household. If you had five or six people pitching in for bills in a house, $20 an hour is damn good money, you are doing quite well at that rate.
Americans in particular value independence. They want to move out and get their own place, living with your parents for an extended time into adulthood is definitely chastised. Well living independently is much more expensive. Americans typically therefore have alot less people contributing to bills in the household.
This isn't to even mention things like childcare. In many foreign cultures they will never need a babysitter. Lots of adults in a household means plenty of people to babysit and such, a HUGE cost savings. For some cultures multiple people sharing a room is like no big deal, for Americans we can't imagine that.
That is just kinda scratching the surface, but you get the point. Americans cannot compete with many foreigners in terms of the wages they can work for. Due to massive differences in culture and lifestyle, the necessary money each needs to make in order to make ends meet is vastly different. If you are part of a giant household with many people paying bills, free babysitting and such, you need alot less money than a household with only 1 or 2 people paying bills, who have children that you must pay for daycare for and such.
This is like the most overlooked aspect ever, and the big thing people don't understand. Culture and lifestyle drastically affects the wages certain people need in order to survive.
Gilgamesh2000000@reddit
Who allows the foreign labor to be here? Who benefits off of it?
Most of these guys are here legally on work visas.
The issue is they don’t want to invest in the middle class anymore.
They could get rid of every problem they fear monger people on and they still wouldn’t pay us anymore.
20milliondollarapi@reddit
My trainer was a Punjabi immigrant who go his citizenship recently. And he said a big thing with them is that they are often stuck in a mindset of what is good pay in India. So what is pennys to us is a huge payout to them. They are also used to living so frugal that they still can make do with what is left over.
cyrax99@reddit
Very true sir. I live in a very diverse area, and thus have gotten to know all different cultures and ethnicities. My ex girlfriend of 5 years was from Haiti. Her sister has like 3 children, they make ends meet no problem in that house though. It is a 3 bedroom house, multiple share each room, they can all share beds no problem, they don't really need privacy, seeing each other naked is no big deal etc.
She has 3 children but they have tons of people contributing to bills in that house, so it's not a problem. There are other people with kids there too, they all babysit for each other, pitch in for food together, cook for each other etc. Thus the cost for them raising kids is very cheap considering they all dont need much space and share rooms.
Very few Americans would be okay living like that. They are perfectly happy doing that, they like living together. Her sister works at Amazon, the husband works at a warehouse, and they can afford their bills. They definitely wouldn't be able to if it was just the two of them, and they were paying for daycare etc.
Culture and lifestyle drastically affect the wages you require.
Defiant-Medicine3014@reddit
I mean that’s Great for them that they can be happy under those circumstances, but it’s not fair to our citizens who are from here that want independence and to earn a decent living while also valuing things like privacy. My mind won’t change on that. Is it the only problem, no. But it is a problem
cyrax99@reddit
Im not here to change any minds sir. I too have a place all to myself, and value my independence. I am not stating a right or wrong, or any opinions on the matter.
What I am saying is that if you have a ton of people paying bills in a house, you need to make alot less money. Do I want to live like that? Absolutely not. However I was just stating the reason that many people are able to work for cheaper rates and what drives the rates down.
1Stack_Mack@reddit
Well said, and 100% on point.
Cooldude075@reddit
As long as there's companies out there hiring them then rates will stay down 🤷♂️
adore_alphi@reddit
this. we need to hold companies accountable
NoRelation1491@reddit
While I agree, that wont affect fuel prices or pay......
spartanantler@reddit
I have no problem with foreigner who got there cDl the correct way
Violet_Apathy@reddit
Fuel surcharge. Unfortunately they only go up weekly and fuel costs have been going up daily.
angryschmaltz@reddit
I’d love to know the stats of who this subreddit voted for.
Ozdriver@reddit
Obviously Biden Harris, but half on here don’t even drive trucks.
3PoundsOfFlax@reddit
It's so easy to manipulate moron blue-collar workers like truck drivers by convincing them that immigrants are beneath them and the source of all their problems. Then you can exploit the shit out of them and enrich yourself and your friends at their expense.
Conservatives are unrelentingly fucking stupid.
2dark2light@reddit
So much winning
WolfDigles@reddit
Shits gonna get worse too. They’re currently buying oil at 140 dollars a barrel. That price will be hitting us in a couple weeks. Are we great again? I can’t hold all this freedumb over here.
Negative_Test_7712@reddit
Htf you dumb...... keep talking about immigrants here when fuel is what $6a gallon or more and keeps going up????

Yep, and what happened to Rule 10, no politics. It’s a trucking sub, not politics ffs. There are other subs where they can get their upvotes.

Because of immigrants and joe biden
Strijkovich@reddit
So that is $1170 for 806L, yesterday took in 108 gallons (411L) for $1217. You’re fuel up would be $2381 in my country. welcome to europe
NoRelation1491@reddit
Jesus Christ....things like this just solidify my stance that I will never want to be an O/O, fuck my company, we are the lowest paid fuel haulers (apart from Alpha Transport LOL), they can eat the fuel cost, fuck em.
Dead_Namer@reddit
Just checked the UK prices. That's still around half of what we pay here at near £2 a litre. 3.78 litres in a US gallon which works out at £7.50 ($10) a gallon or over 2k for this fill up.

Don’t act like none of yall voted for the orange pig
Cooldude075@reddit
Anyone who voted for him is either in the boat of "omg i can't believe he lied omg he's never done that before" or "this is worth it, we were definitely gonna get bombed by Iran, bc he said we were" and neither of those people are gonna want to comment because they're going to just get downvoted into oblivion
Webslob@reddit
They will just blame Biden or Obama for it. They will dig up some decade old decision and blame it on that. That stupid red hat is just represents blaming somebody else and never ever admiting you fucked up.
spartanantler@reddit
I hate when these people who never served say this Iran war is worth it. It’s easy to say with no skin in the game
Cooldude075@reddit
What i'll never understand is how these people don't have basic empathy. Like, I didn't serve but I had considered it at one point and I shudder to think that if I had gone down that path I could be dead right now because a billionaire rapist decided to start a holy war with his friend in exchange for some potential oil or whatever his endgame is.
TrontRaznik@reddit
Nah they'll show up, they always do.
DaRealMexicanTrucker@reddit
Im so tired of all this winning. Can we go back to losing for a bit?
