Title says it. Last trucking I did was for an AFP in Fall of 2023. Stepped outta trucking to do other things and travel. Am I screwed? Idk who will touch me since it's been so long behind the wheel of a rig, but i miss the road. Wanna get into southeast regional. Thoughts?

How much experience did you have before you left?

Have you looked into going back to an AFP? They seem to have some flexibility with experience requirements. Also look at Penske and Ryder, they'll consider drivers with at least 2 years of experience in the last 5 years.

Many insurance companies want recent experience (aka two years of driving in the last three.) Most likely you'll need to gain recent experience with a self insured company like Werner, Swift, Prime, Schneider, etc...

An OTR co.will make you go back with a trainer for a few weeks.Anyone else you may have to do only a week.
