Hi
I am thinking of buying Trek Marlin+8. It seems to be expensive compared to many other brand bikes with similar or better specs. Price difference is not significant, but am I getting something better if I choose to buy trek bicycle?
It looks like Giant, Polygon, Cube, Crussis, Merida, Sinch, Avanti etc. provides better specs and lower price.
Should I buy Trek Marlin+ 8 or not? all other options in this price range provides more powerfull motor and larger capasity battery.

not digging the active line plus and compact tube battery on a fullsize e-mtb. Kinda feels like a commuter motorization slapped onto somethig that would be most at home riding xc
looking at the european pricing around here, it's a 3.3k$(after conversion) mrsp and never goes for that price. If you can get it below 3k it will be ok as a casual bike i guess, otherwise i would look elsewhere

Also check out Mokwheel. My Basalt (fat tire) was $1695, 2 1/2 years ago. They have several models and are flawless IME.

honestly trek is more about the name than the specs. if you're comparing similar bikes and others have better motors/battery for the same price, go with those instead.

I looked at them and Ive ridden trek in the past, but I opted for an aventon rambles. Cheaper and the specs looked better. Also my LBS will service it.

What are the specs on the bike?
For 4-5k, naxeon and coshweel make some good almost electric motocycles.

For $4k you should get more than half a battery, half a motor, and an entry level fork.
