I think the thing that get missed, by Americans particularly, is we laugh at ourselves and we are better at taking the pi$$ as we would say. Because of all the Scottish advocates that chose to stand in the public eye and shout about Scotland- non of them fucking live there. Brian cox, lives between the US and London, the late Sean Connery lived as a tax exile in Spain and the Bahamas, even wee Jimmy Cranky has talked about moving to London. It does seem rather suspicious that a lot of this online 'Brit Hate' has suddenly appeared in high volumes over the last months or so. Almost like it coincided with media reports of alliances starting to fracture between NATO members.
