Just bought this today, probably should’ve went with a M&P 2.0 though. Will still put a few thousand rounds through it at the range first then we’ll see if I wanna trade in or keep as a spare

These things are underrated for the money.
They take the same sights as the S&W M&P series...which means there's a weird cool and underrated red dot that will bolt right onto it, and is currently being blown out on Amazon for $145 bucks.

Back when they were $399 I'd say they weren't worth it. But:

Don't get the Glock version.
These things will co-witness with the original front sight you already have, so if the batteries or electronics die this turns into a ghost ring rear sight and lines up well enough with your front sight to make a reasonable backup combat sight.
Honestly, it's a really slick setup.
The trigger you've got on this variant is pretty good. Apex says these things have more basic accuracy potential in them than the M&P series!
Oh, one really important point, do not swap the factory plastic guide rod and recoil spring assembly. In particular, don't put a steel guide rod in these things. It will put too much stress on the frame and it can crack. Run it with the stock guide rod and spring and it will be fine. The quality of the grip frame plastic on these things is good but not up to Glock standards.

Been wondering how there are compared to the gen 1’s
0neMoreGun@reddit
I had a gen1 as my first striker fire pistol purchase many years ago. I put an Apex trigger kit in it. I never thought it was that bad. Traded it in for $100 credit towards a Springfield XD-s that I haven’t shot in years!

Just as crappy.
hitemlow@reddit
Is there a sale on these or something?
This is like the 4th one I've seen this week after not seeing any for months.

It was 300 bucks so pretty cheap
gunsforevery1@reddit
Yea you definitely should have gotten something better.

Well regardless I’m going to want to practice my shooting
