Is this throttle a goner?

This is a new throttle but it's soooo loose for some reason. I tried to tighten the hex screw but its meant to tighten it on the bar. and a small Philips screw was also tightened but that one's is probably meant to attach the plastic with the throttle around.

Aside from that the display gives error: Info 03 which is targeted to the throttle according to the manual.

I guess I have to buy a new one? Are they universal, if I buy one from AliExpress should it work?

See if you can contact your bike manufacturer after sales team. They will either sell you one or send you an Amazon link for a compatible one. At least the aftersales team for my brand of bike does. I had to replace a couple things. Now I just message them and say will this work. They either say yeah or send me a link of one that will within 3 days

The only thing you need to worry about with throttles are the pin-compability between that and your controller.

Not all are universal no. Some you have to shift the pins to fit yourself.
