My serious reply is why you feel this is an issue? Do you really think the royal family spent a month celebrating a religious holiday?
Do you suspect that Islamist forces are taking over “our country”?
ChipCob1@reddit
'Christ is King' is a big thing with UK fash currently...imported from the US.
mdmnl@reddit
Only if it comes up in conversation.
ChipCob1@reddit
What sort of conversation?
RBisoldandtired@reddit
I knoooow but im trying to get OP to admit it organically 😒😂😂
ChipCob1@reddit
Ah OK...as you were! 😁

I am looking at more from the lense of, the leader of the Church of England is not giving an Easter message.
But the leader of the Church of England will give a Ramadan message, in Arabic.
Just an interesting observation
RBisoldandtired@reddit
What’s interesting about it?
I find it more interesting that you’ve revised your claims from “celebrated the month of Ramadan” to “gave a message”.
Ladefrickinda89@reddit (OP)
It’s interesting that the leader of a church publicly acknowledges another religions holiday, but not their own.
feetflatontheground@reddit
The church should maybe consider picking a better leader, then.
BillyJoeDubuluw@reddit
He does acknowledge - and directly participates - in Easter…
There’s never been “an Easter speech” that people tune in to listen to…
He’s acknowledged Ramadan, but he directly participates in the Easter services of the Church of England…
I’m not sure what more you are wanting…
girlsunderpressure@reddit
No, nobody cares.
shortercrust@reddit
This really is pathetic. Manufactured outrage about him not doing something that no one expected him to do to get people all cross about Muslims.
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Can guarantee this has not gone the way this bot/fash account thought it was gonna go. Zero support. Many ridicules.
Ladefrickinda89@reddit (OP)
Not a bot, just a bored guy who saw an article. Read it, and was confused.
Therefore I used all of my genius and went to the place of truth - Reddit /s
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Why you even lying?
Why don’t you admit you tried and failed to stir up some hate?
_Taggerung_@reddit
The fire brigade near me put up a social media post about happy ramadan and then everyone was jumping in the comments moaning about lent. Guess what they put up one for lent and the same people still moaned. They don't even care about easter they just use it to attack muslims.
Jolly-Bandicoot7162@reddit
Did the King celebrate Ramadan or did he acknowledge it like they do other religions' important dates? Hannukah, Diwali etc.
And you said it yourself, an Easter message isn't and hasn't been a thing. There's always a Christian one.
I see the usual suspects in the press are trying to make a big deal out of this, because they love to divide and hate inclusion, but I really don't think it's a big deal to any except those who think being outraged is a profession.
Ladefrickinda89@reddit (OP)
Personally, I think it would be better if Charles just went away and played in his garden.
The royals only cause trouble these days, and they serve no purpose.
T0mmyVerceti@reddit
They don't do one every year
cymruaj@reddit
The Queen gave one in her 70 years
samdug123@reddit
by wholly do you mean completely? like observing fasts and praying and attending all the religious ceremonies, or that you saw him meet an Imam on the telly?
Anyway why would that mean he gives an Easter speech? or are you just jealous he's been giving attention to the Muslims too?
BillyJoeDubuluw@reddit
The Windsor family has never “set a tradition” of an Easter speech in the way that they do a Christmas speech…
He’s ultimately not the head of my Church as I am a Catholic, so I can see how this might be more touching to a PRACTISING member of the C of E, but I do think this particular critique is a bit misguided and primarily centred around winding the more gullible minded up about the fact that he’s given this polite and inclusive nod to Ramadan and seemingly “shunned Easter” in the process… The case is not quite as its being presented here.
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Well said
HighNimpact@reddit
Easter hasn’t happened yet. There’s an extremely high chance he will do an Easter message. He likely won’t do an Easter address like he does a Christmas address but, like you said, the monarch historically doesn’t - and he didn’t to a Ramadan one like that either.
He didn’t “celebrate the holy month of Ramadan”, he wished Muslims a blessed Ramadan.

RBisoldandtired@reddit
Spaghetae fuck
DrNuclearSlav@reddit
Nah it's just the single most important holiday in the Anglican calendar, no biggie.
RumJackson@reddit
Christmas?
HumanBeing7396@reddit
From a religious point of view, Easter is more important.
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Did Jeebus really love chocolate too?
Understandable tbf.
Comfortable-Fall1419@reddit
I thought he shat chocolate eggs? Hence the tradition.
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Loaves and fish, water into wine… shiteing chocolate… that’s the holy trinity the catholics believe in I’m sure. It sounds right
mdmnl@reddit
And rabbits
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Also understandable. So cute.
Dead_Bones001@reddit
Easter is the bigger festival.
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Not in my household

He's secretly found Allah.
TippyTurtley@reddit
Because historically they don't do one? He did a christmas one.
TrifectaOfSquish@reddit
As you have said yourself it's historically not a thing, attempting to reach out and create a connection with other communities is a completely different thing
_Taggerung_@reddit
The only people that care are either observing Christians who take easter seriously or people who hate any other religion (especially muslims) and spent all last summer painting roundabouts and now moan about easter boxes not saying happy easter. The rest of the country is either drunk or sleeping in on a bank holiday
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Painting roundabouts with Danish flags *
Key_Seaworthiness827@reddit
One less thing to ignore? Easter is just a very welcome holiday to most people.
OllyDee@reddit
Well you said it yourself- historically there has not been an annual Easter message. Why should there be?
