any thoughts on reliability? does it look like a bad ass truck?

Buy it and delete the emissions. Fuck the EPA

What are diesel prices in your area and how many close stations to you have diesel?

Good luck getting parts for it

The 2.8 liter diesel is reliable. They used it in the Express vans as well for a time so there should be parts availability.

Delete it and u don’t gotta deal with that shit

I love mine. No problems at all and I got 30.3 mpg on a cross country drive. They seem to get better with a few miles on them. Not fast, but a little sprightlier. The 6-speed they come with doesn't have the problems the 8-speed that comes with the gas has. Tows my trailer great. They did a great job isolating the vibration. I'm for it.

Stinky

I recently worked on an emissions deleted GMC Canyon last week. It would "roll coal" when you put your foot in it!
I'm pretty sure it's an Isuzu engine but I'm almost positive they make more torque than the GM 5.3 liter V8.

It was designed by VM Motori. Despite being Italian designed it was still somehow reliable.

We have a 2017 and love it. Half the fuel consumption of a v6 model and pulls like a 350. You will spend more per gallon on fuel and will spend more for oil changes, but the engine and transmission are more reliable than the gasser. This car was new to the US, but southeast Asia had them from 2002 onwards.

Look at the price of diesel these days. Make sure you like the diesel for its torquey demeanor, and not under a dated belief that you’re going to save money on fuel.
I think I’d personally get a V6. It’s simpler, parts are more available, and most people seem to think it’s nicer to drive. But you do have to wring it out a bit.

Do. Not do this.

That bad, huh?

Everybody likes the weird engine option til they need to find somebody that knows how to service it
