No,but my mother used to do one my whole childhood (in the 70s): catkins and pussy willow with hollow eggs hung on them. No-one else seemed to do this then, so no idea where it came from. The last 15-20 years, it's suddenly become really easy to get little hanging Easter decorations, so it's obviously now a "thing".

Not really. Even back-in-the-day it was just a notable church visiting event, and at school it influenced art sessions at least. I do have some eastern-European friends now though who seem to revel in it somewhat. They do like the personal egg-painting thing, which is easy for them with me since I have a baldy head that is already egg-shaped :-D

I live in northern England and every year my family do an egg dump with pace eggs (hard boiled eggs which have been boiled with onion skins to make them marbled/a different colour). Everyone picks an egg from the bowl and then you take it in turns to try and smash someone else’s egg by hitting the pointy end of your egg on top of the pointy end of your partner’s egg. Last un-smashed egg standing wins. We’ve done it every year that I can remember - sometimes we put money in to win (my sister won the grand prize of £4 today), sometimes we just play for the glory. My village used to host a village-wide egg dump when I was young, but sadly they don’t do it anymore. We even had an egg dump at our wedding reception, much to the bemusement of my husband’s southern relatives!

Apart from eating cereal out of half an Easter egg, no. None of us are religious, we don’t really care for a roast dinner, and we’re trying to lose weight so won’t gorge on chocolate, and we won’t go out for food because like Xmas Day and Mothers Day everywhere is rammed and full of pricks.

We also paint boiled eggs on Easter Sunday to be as silly and fun as possible and then roll them down hill, repeatedly until only one remains undestroyed and they're the winner. Started when there were young children in the family but continues now with all adults. No one is Christian so I don't think this is a religious thing

Yes I think paste eggs / pace eggs is when you boil them with additions to the water like onion skins or beetroot to make them different colours. And you can put wax or something on them to make certain patterns appear

I have a daughter and 3 nieces and nephews, we all live really close to each other (3 houses in a row with my mom in the middle). Me and my mom do an Easter egg hunt / escape room ish thing. They start with one clue and a key, it takes them to "balloons", that theh need to pop- the balloons have puzzle pieces in it that takes them to "playdoh", the playdoh has beads in it to take them to a fireplace, the fireplace has homemade projector things that take them to the bath, etc. We've been doing it for years and they love it. Its quite challenging to do it for such a range of kids and their ages, but they seem to enjoy it! One of the clues this time took them to the rice in the cupboard ("who is the best midfielder in the Prem?), my daughter opened the cupboard and saw the chicken noodles and thought they were part of it too, so they all went home with eggs, chocolates, sweets and chicken noodles 🤣

I think a new one was invented a short while ago. The kids found a box of those small fluffy chicks you find on Easter cakes, dumped them all on the floor, then a chick fight ensued. I'm pretty sure it's what Jesus would have wanted and totally in the spirit of the holiday.

Our parents used to hide mini Easter eggs in the garden, and whoever could find, and fit the most up their bum would win an actually boxed Easter egg! I’m 35 now but I’ll be down my folks tomorrow and if the weather is nice we’ll play this

When I was a child my parents kept chickens in our back garden. On Easter Sunday morning, Dad would take us kids out to the hen house where we found the chickens had laid chocolate eggs for us. However, I could never figure out how the chickens managed to lay them wrapped in silver foil.

Me and my best friend (might as well be family) bake a batch of hot cross buns every year. Hot cross buns originate from a pagan tradition that predates christianity, and while I'm not religious/spiritual and wouldn't class myself as pagan, I like to do little bits of those traditions that connect us back to our ancestors from hundreds of years ago.

I don’t remember any particular traditions as a child other than church on Easter Sunday. As an adult, we have built simple traditions with our own children which include decorating with paper eggs we colour and decorate, paper chicks and flowers we make, a big special roast dinner with our family friends and an Easter egg hunt in the garden afterwards. I love Easter

In the city I'm from, people take their chocolate eggs to a park near the town centre and roll them down the hill. I don't know why. I don't live there anymore so haven't done it in a long time, but i have fond memories of it from childhood.
