Only ugly people should be allowed to participate in fashion shows and runways

It's probably not in the spirit of the sub but I was thinking last week, why not use different sized models. Especially when they're modelling real clothes that real people wear

The standard look for fashion models depends on the Zeitgeist. The industry uses these looks because they have proven to work best at the moment. No reason to change this.

But who are ugly people? From personal taste to cultural differences, what beauty is can be wildly different. In a particular culture, black teeth are considered attractive and high status. I don't think that would go over well in a Miss America pagaent

Only if they are skinny and don't have distracting features. Like the majority of runaway fashion models are mostly clothes hangers and technically not the most attractive people in the world. They are there to display the clothes. The attractive models are usually cover models.
