My least favorite chore
aegiltheugly@reddit
I have a much larger pillbox (21 slots) and many more medications.
Rich-Suspect-9494@reddit
Yeah, Sunday night 8pm. š
jpence@reddit
Just change the lyrics of Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive "Sometimes you tell the day, by the pills that I take, the little small round one, makes sure my bones don't break"
bendingoutward@reddit
I just roll with Hank III's Pills I Took (which, not for nothing, is honestly more enjoyable by the folks that wrote it for him, Those Poor Bastards).
grumpynetgeekintexas@reddit
We bought a 30 day pill case 10 years ago and itās been revolutionary.
The weekly task is now monthly, it takes four times as long, but itās not as often.
cattlekidvi@reddit
Absolutely! I take 11 prescriptions a day (kidney transplant recipient) so the monthly setup is the way to go!
Naive_Finding_1287@reddit
Itās my Sunday religion.
Firm-Conference-3896@reddit
I fill my morning and night time rows every Sunday evening. Six prescriptions, an OTC allergy pill, and a supplement.
JuliusSeizuresalad@reddit
whyyoutwofour@reddit
I dump all mine together in one tray...they are unique enough that I just grab one of each every morning.Ā
JaxBoltsGirl@reddit
That is awesome. Unfortunately I have 3 different small white round pills that are all roughly the same size.
itgoesineasy@reddit
Sadly Sunday is my āfill the pill boxā day. When did I become old enough to need a pill organizer?
tanhauser_gates_@reddit
I have the month setup X 2. I alea6s have a month waiting for as soon as the current one is finished.
HorseyDung@reddit
What's the matter with you people?
Turning 58 this year, I only have the occasional Paracetamol when my head hurts.
geddylee1@reddit
I use Tylenol when my head hurts, but i also take an allergy pill sometimes too.

DaddyOhMy@reddit
I like my morning routine of going down the row of pills. And every other day cutting one of them in half then fishing through the bottle for the other half on alternate days. I only use those when we go away and even then each pod is filled with the same pull so I go down the row (I do precut that pill though).
On the plus side, I finally realized I can stop taking Vitamin D because the One-A-Day 50+ covers that so I have one less pill to take every day.
honeybadgerdad@reddit
Pro tip: if you don't get a halfsie, just cut another 1. Eventually, they'll all be halfsies. š

HallackB@reddit
I do. But not a single prescription. Only supplements: vitamin D and K3, turmeric, collagen, fish oil (2x/day), astaxanthin, b-complex every other day, and creatine 2x day. Magnesium at night.
gishnon@reddit
Double loading creatine? Or two pills to hit 5g?
HallackB@reddit
2 pills morning and evening to hit 5g so four total
gishnon@reddit
Ah I see. I guess you have to choose between a handful of pills or an awful tasting once a day.
HallackB@reddit
Exactly right

Me too. I used to do it every week, but it took so long. I had some travel and did it for two weeks a couple times and now I always do that. It only takes maybe 20% longer than doing one week.

uselink126@reddit
Every Sunday Morning, I have 3 different pillboxes. The meds keep me alive, the supplements are more of a strategy game.
Spare-Adhesiveness84@reddit
4 prescriptions, baby aspirin, multivitamin, and four supplements. Iāve become my mother, WTH?!?!
hawksmarinerz@reddit
Sunday is pill day
ApprehensiveDiver539@reddit

Remarkable_Fig1838@reddit

smithe68@reddit
Thankfully no. I take a couple vitamins (multi and a calcium/magnesium combo) and a daily low dose aspirin because Iām factor 5 Leiden and I donāt want to take blood thinners.
TheJokersChild@reddit
Am I weird to take mine right out of the bottles every day?
mrcranky@reddit
I do this. I only have two drugs for colitis and gout so itās easy.

59, no pills - lots of running and lifting instead.
Practicality_Issue@reddit
I decided to bump up to a month long, twice per day model.
I canāt figure out why I hate filling these things up. Itās a pet peeve.
Ymisoqt420@reddit
I had one like that and absolutely hated filling it lol
Pmoneywhazzup@reddit
Looks like a lot of work. 30 minutes?
Practicality_Issue@reddit
I have to cut a bunch of pills in half, so Iām setting aside the afternoon. Hoping to look like Brad Pitt picking thru skunk weed in True Romance but will most likely look like Fred Sanford walking to his favorite chair.
Pmoneywhazzup@reddit
I take about ten medications/supplements a day. No cutting, thank goodness, but I have to pay close attention because I take some every other day. Love the Fred Sanford reference. Takes me close to 30 minutes.
Practicality_Issue@reddit
If I donāt put my pills in these little boxes I wonāt take my supplements. Which is stupid because they do work. While pill cutting sucks, it helps me feel better about total pill count I have to take daily
Thereās no way Iād ever mange every other day. No way. What sort of sadistic monster/pharmaceutical scientist comes up with that?
Pmoneywhazzup@reddit
Long story, short version is that I recently lost 55 pounds. Blood pressure and other issues improved dramatically. I am calibrating the doses of my meds and will probably reduce the doses of some by 50%. Donāt want to throw good medicine away and donāt want to cut them in half, so it works for now. A very short term solution.
Practicality_Issue@reddit
Hey congrats on the weight loss! Thatās something Iāve been working on, but my weight is tied to something else thatās going onā¦not sure what tho.

missmarimck@reddit
I do mine on Sunday...
whatsomattau@reddit
Omo! I just did mine this morning too!
Economy-Diamond-9001@reddit
Yup. Only two pills (different meds) daily for me...honestly, diet and exercise would possibly eliminate them, but...you actually have to do those things, so here I am.
punkdrummer22@reddit
Why are people on here proud about all the pills they take?
TheJokersChild@reddit
We can afford them. Prescription drugs are a status symbol.
JelloProfessional747@reddit

pro tip... if you invert the bottle caps, you will no longer have to push and turn.. just turn... lol... welcome to the club
rqny@reddit
I used my leftover FSA funds to buy a metal pillcase which seems indulgent but it actually makes it kind of fun.
1Steelghost1@reddit
Remember those locking caps pop in half and the child lock goes away!
Not a lawyer don't do that if you do have children near meds.
jasonf_00@reddit
Flip the locking cap over and they screw on without locking.
1Steelghost1@reddit
Yeah I saw from the image/ other posts after I replied, there was a time when they split but I guess most companies moved to the single piece.
jasonf_00@reddit
Also found that the ones you have to push down and twist to open, if you push the center of that type of lid, it will pop down and it eliminates the safety feature of having to push down to open. Pretty cool how different manufacturers have figured out how to anti-safety for the adults.
1Steelghost1@reddit
Yes exactly what I was thinking about, thank you.
It is always funny watching companies that say here is 'our legal requirement' but also here is the way that you as a consumer can remove that.
WeedBubby@reddit
I have the 4X times a day one and use a row per week. Am= week 1, Noon= week 2, etc. I spend 10 minutes every 4th Saturday night filling and then itās a no brainer the other 27 days.
mcshanksshanks@reddit
Ha! Got prescribed two more meds recently, I just had to buy a new one today, I now have one for AM/PM instead of the single cavity seven day.
ConfidentRecover3343@reddit
Not me, I have 12, 4 weeks for morning, noon, & night š
fauxshoyall@reddit
I love my month pill holder. It is an excellent visual reminder to get my next refill. It also triggers genuine concern from others. (They don't know the half of it.)
fallcreekprepper@reddit
I refill mine after dinner on Sunday night. I have 3 of those pill sorters, morning, noon and night.
HarveyMushman72@reddit
How many meds does one need to take to justify having one of these?
Practicality_Issue@reddit
Itās not a question of how many, the question is how often do you forget what you have/have not taken.
HarveyMushman72@reddit
Good point. I sometimes have that issue.
Practicality_Issue@reddit
Itās the worst. Especially when the pills manage vital organs or keep you from turning into Eeyore.
Getting old is stupid.
HarveyMushman72@reddit
That's the boat I am in. It sucks.
Jgibbjr@reddit
I have two baskets; one for a.m. pills, one for p.m. pills. The blood pressure and inhaler that are 2x/day get moved from one to the other so I remember if I took them or not.
Practicality_Issue@reddit
When I first started taking all of these meds I kept the brown bottles in a Crown Royal bag. It didnāt help, no matter how often I told myself āstill punk and fuck!ā As I dig around looking for my heart rate regulator pills.
Recently I did the nightly pill organization thing to help keep track. This mega pack was under $10, and I canāt afford a personal valetā¦so hopefully the mega pack will work for me.
Choosepeace@reddit
This is why I got one! I would forget if I took it or not.

NGD582@reddit
No medicines thankfully, but my cocktail of supplements gets restocked in a pillbox. About a few years ago in my mid forties, I started to realize that I canāt even remember if I took my vitamins or not. Sundays are my pillbox refill days.
patb0118@reddit
I swear the drugs have gotten much less fun with age.
lucidspoon@reddit

Rhiannon8404@reddit
Good luck, and I hope it stays that way! Literally none of my meds are for things that were preventable though diet and/or exercise.
lordmhoram@reddit
Just a daily? I have separate AM and PM
GeekTX@reddit
I have morning, lunch, dinner, and bed compartments. :( 6 months ago I only took a few acetaminophen or ibuprofen now I keep the local pharmacy in business. Seems like I get a new one with every doctor visit ... 2x monthly for chemo follow up. I am sick of frickin' pills!!!
rob-cubed@reddit
I only have one pill to take (blood pressure) but sometimes I forget so been thinking about getting one of these...
jasonf_00@reddit
I do mine for the month (28 days) - I grab out two mini-muffin pans and load each muffin with a dayās worth of meds and then transfer to my daily pop-open container.
