I posted my drag racing simulator here 5 years ago. Here's where it's at now.

Just took a quick peek with my GTO, and see that it has 6 speed manual, but doesn't seem to be a way to change to the auto to compare the difference. Is that something that's possible?

This website is SUPER cool and I've been going through it a lot. 3 seconds flat to 60 is a pipe dream for my F-Type (I submitted corrections yesterday, btw, thank you for applying them!), probably because it's a more front-heavy car and is still traction limited despite being AWD. The real number on an ideal day is 3.5-3.6 or so. I also don't know how much power the car sends to the front, but I do know that it's rear-biased. Does the website take weight distribution into effect? If not, how feasible would it be to add a rough calculation based on where the engine is (front, front-mid, rear-mid, rear) and whether the transmission is a transaxle or not? I also noticed "Mid" is a catch-all for a front-mid (AMG GT) and a rear-mid (Ferrari 458) engine layout, which IMO is an important distinction to make.

is there a metric option? very few countries use inches and mph as the norm

There is metric in the drag strip settings. I should probably make it easier to find+toggle. Yeah speed limiter is theoretical on most cars unless the limiter is specified (and it's in the database).

30 minutes of my life was just spent drag racing my favorite cars. Thanks for that slice of happiness. The animation is very effective.

This is nifty. Built my S2000 and it’s damn close to real life numbers. I’m actually impressed.

This is super fun. I'd love to see how the battery level of EVs affect their acceleration, I think that would definately be a real world variable that you could introduce because SoC does have a massive affect on especially 0-60 times. Anecdotally, I absolutely see my performance EV perform differently against the same car on the road depending on what level it's at. Not sure if this would be possible, but heat of battery has a significant effect too.

This is doable, I think it just varies a lot car to car. So will need to find some data

Was pretty dang close to actual. .25 seconds slower to 60 mph, but .38 faster to the 1/4 compared to actual with my 650whp truck. I bet if I could put in tire size, gear ratios, trans ratios, and the fact it has lockers front and rear and it would probably be closer, but less than 0.5 seconds from real is nice.

Hell yeah glad to hear

is the autozam on there? lmao
