Do not use jammers. It’s way more than unethical - it can be life threatening.

They can disrupt things you might not expect, like medical equipment or emergency services. You might not get arrested but it’s entirely possible to seriously injure or even kill someone.

Because it’s so dangerous it’s a felony in the US and similarly serious elsewhere.

It’s actually a Bluetooth specific deauth script in it most likely. I haven’t followed the link but that would only unpair Bluetooth device in range. No effect on WiFi etc. Could affect the other commenters hearing aids if paired to their phone though.

I mean with a jammer a European spec one could be triggered by bleed in the spectrum as they have medical frequencies that pick up at 2483.5 the end of Bluetooth’s frequencies but implants are all in the 9-315 KHz range so well outside even the loosest of jammers except full spectrum. Anything commercial is absolutely going to avoid those freqs even crap from AliExpress.

No, the link is to an ESP32 jammer firmware that broadcasts noise on the Bluetooth frequencies. It’s a jammer, not a device using the Bluetooth protocol.

Ahhh in that case it would be illegal and possibly risky if they go out of frequency. It’s all up to whether or not it’s truly accurate in its frequencies. If it is same risks if it’s not there is a chance it could do harm somehow. All though there’s not a lot of 2400–2483.5 MHz devices out on the beach to be effected beyond speakers. Using a deauth command on those freqs is a much safer bet.

BT freqs are actually stand alone except WiFi iirc but still illegal. Run a deauth instead. It’s not like there is a lot of WiFi on the beach anyways. As long as the freqs from the jammer are dead on there’s no risk of medical devices at least. European medical frequencies in 2.4 start right after Bluetooth so they better be tight freqs in your jammer which is why I recommend deauth kit in an esp32

Deauth boots all connected devices so even if you can’t connect because it’s in pairing mode you can trigger pairing mode by deauth then connecting yourself.

You would have to make sure your device was very limited on the frequencies it was targeting, which is probably going to require device specifically made for jamming. Jamming devices are generally illegal in every developed country, even ones with lax laws about jamming itself.

That aside, yeah, jamming bluetooth frequency ranges shouldn't stop cell phones from working.

Some medical devices rely on these frequencies too. And there are things neither you nor I know about that might be affected. Shutting down communication is a serious thing in modern society.

And how certain are you that your jammer (which is just screaming loudly in radio frequencies) affects only the frequencies you’re targeting? Jammers are typically illegal so you’re probably building your own, and I know enough to know that I don’t know what I’m doing. Unless you’re a RF engineer, you probably don’t either.

No country I can find uses Bluetooth freqs for medical devices. As a matter fact in Europe they pick up where Bluetooth cuts off so there is a small risk of bleed over if the antenna and frequencies aren’t exact but it would actually be super low risk. Running a deauth would be a lot safer.

it is indeed a very annyoing situation and you can't even blast your own music with the words "look at those scumbags that blast music even if it is forbidden", because other people suddenly think that you are the asshole in this situation and not them.

The most effective method that I found is being annoying to them by repeating "it is forbidden to have loud music on the beach" no matter what they say or pretending that they don't know your language you are speaking. Do this for 20-30 minutes depending on your patience and then use a taser to destroy the bluetooth device (it is easier than trying to physically destroy it. Those nasty things are quite durable)

Have some practice beforehand with how to use it quick and properly so that you don't electrocute yourself in action. Be quick and hide the taser fast so that they can't react.

Jamming devices are generally illegal in most countries, though jamming itself not as much (though not in the US, don't mess with the FCC on that). Hacking into Bluetooth devices requires a lot of technical knowledge... at least for a "proper" hack.

What doesn't require super advanced knowledge though is setting up a script to send repeating pairing requests to every Bluetooth device within range. Well-made Bluetooth speakers will reject those requests automatically, sure. Cheap knockoffs from AliExpress or wherever, not so much.

Get a flathead screwdriver.

Walk over to the speaker. Make eye contact with the owner.

Pick up the speaker and jam the screwdriver in the charging port. Break it so the speaker can’t be charged anymore.

Then jam the screwdriver into the actual speaker part.

After that, lay the defunct device back down, ideally with the screwdriver still in it.

It is important to maintain eye contact the entire time you are doing this.

After that, you pull a couple piss discs out of your cooler, and set them next to the speaker.

Problem. Solved.
