Is aviationinterviews.com legit or a scam?

Just looking for some info. I was recommended to use aviationinterviews.com so I can go over questions for an upcoming interview but was pretty shocked at the $100 price tag for basic 30 day access. It feels like a scam and just want to know if it's legit and people really pay that?
Before anyone says "$100 for a job that pays millions in your life is chump change", I understand that. It's not the money, it's more the scammy feel of the site. I've paid hundreds for interview prep services in the past and felt like I really got my money's worth (It was also long term access and coaching), but this seems like paying for a forum with some questions on it. Before I pay for access I just want to be sure it's legit. There's countless companies out there asking for hundreds of dollars to guarantee you your "Dream job". I just want to be sure I'm not being taken for a ride.

Is anyone seeing now that they’re only being paid in crypto? I paid the BTC and never got access. So now leaning more scammy than legit.

Very useful for prepping with any airline as far as gouges and also updated with questions that are asked in recent interviews.

100% legit

Could you elaborate on "t's more the scammy feel of the site"? What exactly feels scammy?

IDK how to explain it other than my spidey senses went off when I looked it over. It just feels like a cheap site, and with most everything being hidden behind a paywall, it comes off as a "Pay first ask questions later" kind of thing.
At least with the interview prep companies I've used in years past I had an actual person I could talk to and their site didn't feel like it was just AI, this one just felt like alibaba or something.

That's called "shifting baseline syndrome." Society has moved the line to where something needs to look & feel expensive. Or to give you the wow factor. In order for you to feel great about paying for the price.
But when you find a genuine business that's merely focused on providing you results, you question it.

Best comment I've read this week
stickJ0ckey@reddit
So it's basically just the look & feel of the website that triggered your doubts?
Also have you noticed that so many people spend tens of thousands on flight hours from all sorts of shady schools operating 40-60 years old tin cans, but won't spend $100 on a good question bank or some latest edition books or a new jeppesen 🤔
This is such a strange industry
cincocerodos@reddit
They’ll spam the ever loving shit out of you after you sign up
NoConcentrate9116@reddit
Like others have said, it’s legit.
It’s also very overpriced. Cool that the guy does scholarships or whatever but there wasn’t anything truly groundbreaking in the content for my airline. But it’s worth it to know exactly what you’ll be asked, so whatever I guess.
0621Hertz@reddit
It’s legit, but should be free.
Honestly don’t know why you’re paying a website for crowdsourced content unless I’m missing something here.
Vincent-the-great@reddit
They like give you 75% of your money back in gift card form if you pay it forward and answer questions about your interview
m636@reddit (OP)
Is that true? I didn't see that on the site
NoConcentrate9116@reddit
Absolutely not true lol you get a tiny gift card for your troubles of answering questions. I think I got $5 to Starbucks.
xSYOTOSx@reddit
The price has gone up in recent years, and its usefulness depends on the company.
flyingwithfish24@reddit
Super legit and also a scam at the same time
sandalsabsentsocks@reddit
My only problem with them is everytime i cancel, because i either got the job or didn't, the price goes up. I was paying $40 a month and when i go to cancel, if i renew later the price is now $99 a month. They do offer amazon or Starbucks gift cards for filling out the interview surveys. I've only seen that option once the cancel button is pushed.
CFIgigs@reddit
Super legit. The SkyWest interview gouge was identical to the questions asked during the actual interview. I studied those for a week beforehand and was 100% prepared. Same for other airline interview experiences.
I felt the same way ... it feels pricey, but I guess I'd look at it like: What is the price of peace of mind? I like being prepared. In 5 years, you won't remember that $100.
m636@reddit (OP)
Thanks!
For sure, but like I said in my original post, it's not the money, it's that there are SO many of these sites ready to take your money. If you paid for each site that "guarantees you your dream job" you're dropping thousands and thousands of dollars.
Glad to know this one is legitimate and helpful.
f1racer328@reddit
I’ve used this one and it’s legit.
SpeedbirdTK1@reddit
Wait till you find out how much app review and interview prep companies charge…
AppleAvi8tor@reddit
Absolutely legit. Used it for my Envoy interview and everything was identical off that website. I got the CJO.
Willflyfordrums@reddit
Very legit. The guy that runs the site pays it forward in scholarships.
TRex_N_Truex@reddit
Website is one of the oldest aviation interview prep sites. Owned and operated by run by a former Continental Express pilot who does a ton of philanthropy.

Airline interviews could be a payed Reddit chain but that’s not capitalism
Raccoon_Ratatouille@reddit
It’s legit, but no substitute for a prep company. Knowing the question is one thing, but picking the best answer and presenting it in a coherent manner is another.
m636@reddit (OP)
Totally agree. I've done professional prep in the past and feel comfortable with the STAR/SARR presentation. I more so wanted to know what the questions would be for the specific interview.
snopro80a@reddit
It’s legit!
No-Program-5539@reddit
It’s super legit
carl-swagan@reddit
The price is a ripoff and I hated using the site, but the information is accurate and helped tremendously to land me a job.
m636@reddit (OP)
Thanks! Definitely feels like a ripoff ($100 for 30 days is insane).
TSwiftIcedTea@reddit
While the price is high and has gone up a lot since I last used it, I credit that site with helping me get multiple job offers at major airlines. There is nothing more valuable than knowing exactly what questions they will ask so you can prepare answers and aren’t blindsided in the interview.
With that being said, their cancellation policy is the true scam, if you fall for it. Make absolutely certain that you cancel your subscription entirely. Not just cancel email notifications. They will keep billing you forever and will never send you any correspondence, if you let them.
m636@reddit (OP)
Oof thanks for the heads up! I didn't realize it was a subscription, I thought it was a 1 time thing. I'll be sure to make not when I sign up.
