Anyone have a good low cost provider they use? I still have bank accounts in the UK and it's a pain always needing to login in with a text!!

We've used xpatfone for 3 years. No issues. https://xpatfone.com/

Brilliant, thanks!

Dialanyone is good. Just buy a UK number from their site/ app and use it to receive texts and calls. I'd used it on my vacation for banking reasons too.

Thank you!

Have you tried using the cheap sim finder on MSE? You can select ones that offer eSIMs

Though which banks do you use? I have accounts with Chase and NatWest, plus credit cards with NatWest, MBNA, Virgin and Amex and none of them require 2FA on my iPhone. Though I do have some other apps that require sms codes.

Thank you. Natwest are requesting 2FA for me to get back into my mortgage account

Ah, through their website? Or app? Interesting, my mortgage is HSBC and again on iPhone no issues.
There are some reasonable eSIM deals with providers like iD Mobile if you go for the low data sims. You’ll need to use a UK address though from w at I remember.

Both - I got locked out at some point because they thought someone else was trying to access it so they're pushing me through the fraud team

Also a Metro account and they do 2FA. I do have a UK address thankfully. Thanks for the advice

Get a UK SIM card, put it in your phone, add some credit. 3 or giff gaff or something

I use moremins.its quite good as the credit costs as low as €4 and doesn't fly run out...I've used €2 something, for about 7months now.quite convenient really!

Multitel.net
Very clunky website but numbers available from like $0.79 per month iirc, then you can do call forwarding and texts routed to email.

Appreciate it, thank you. I just need to get verification texts from websites.
