Anyone ever remove the the mag well seal on a FS2000?

I just purchased a used fs2000 on gunbroker, and it appears from the grainy photos that the rubber seal inside the mag well is missing. I didn't notice that detail until after the rifle shipped yesterday. I won't have the rifle in my hands until about Thursday to inspect it. The seller never stated this in his description either. My major concerns are that FN discontinued the seals according to their website, and is it going to jam now that the seals won't be holding it in place? the seller doesn't accept returns either. Normally, I wouldn't be so worried about this, but this rifle wasn't cheap. thanks in advance!

I know little about this, but my friend’s dad had one of these and hit me up for advice on 3d printing some kind of filler plate he could either put in the gun or attach to the mags he used with his to make them fit better. Unfortunately he passed unexpectedly before we could get together. You might look around for a file for something.

The point of the seal was to prevent dirt from getting into the chassis and internals, removing that opens up your mag usage, when I removed mine I was able to use certain Pmags

When you removed it, did your gun jam at all or was the mag still seated properly?

Very minimal movement but no jams, like I said only some Pmags worked really well others not so much all the seal does is fit into the little divots on the STANAG mags for a flush and tight fit.

A lot of people did that back in the day so that they could use non-STANAG pattern magazines. Not saying you shouldn’t be upset about the non-disclosure but it’s a thing that a lot of people did when these were in production.
