Make doomscrolling more addictive

Give points for interacting with the app (opening it, scrolling, recieving likes, streaks, staying longer than 1 hour...) and add a "virtual garden" where people can buy seeds, fertilizers and water for they garden and plant virtual trees.
Also make them believe that for each tree they will level up to 10, you will plant one tree in real life.
And when someone would want to close the app, this messenge would pop up *"You have been scrolling for 1 hour and 52 minutes straight. If you close the app, you will not recieve 200 extra points for stayng 2 hours."*
And the options would be
> I want to continue helping the Earth
> close the app

You could also add a Tamogatchi pet that becomes neglected and dies if you don’t get enough engagement in a single day. It could also have medical emergencies that require microtransactions to cure.

Make them sounding like they are worth it. Badges like "fitness, bodybuilder, health" for watching gym videos, "thinker, genius" for watching intelectual videos, "empath" for watching AI fruit cheating videos, etc

Put a vape in a smartphone and make you watch advertisements to earn loot boxes. You would have to doomscroll to reach the ads and then watch the entire thing. Then each loot box would have a different vape flavor, including potentially some of the nastiest things imaginable (think like those prank jelly beans that have flavors like vomit or boogers mixed in).

Showing how much time the person has been scrolling would have the opposite effect, instead, make it so that every time you close the app you receive a notification that someone liked one of your posts or sent you a message or comment (using chatbots of course)
