Why do you guys pretend to be different countries? You're all basically the same.

I've been backpacking around the "Balkans" for about two weeks now as a digital nomad (I did Croatia, Serbia, Albania, and a few of the smaller ones) and I’m sorry, but your local nationalism is hilarious. You all speak the exact same Russian dialect, you look the same, and your cultures are completely identical.

Why do you guys pretend to have different languages? I used a basic Russian phrasebook in Belgrade, Tirana, and Zagreb, and everyone understood me perfectly. Stop faking it just to feel special.

Also, I really need to talk about the food. You guys constantly fight in this sub over who invented "Burek" or "Cevapi", but honestly? It’s just greasy, low-tier Turkish food. I had a vegan, gluten-free Burek in Los Angeles a few months ago that was 100x better and healthier than the oily mess I was forced to eat in Sarajevo.

And Rakija? It’s literally just cheap, unrefined vodka. Nothing special.

As an American expat, it's honestly super annoying having to show my passport at all these pointless little borders.

You guys should really just get over your fake history and merge back into one big province.

Maybe call it "South Slavia" or something? It would make it way easier for tourists and digital nomads to travel, which you desperately need to boost your weak economies.

Grow up, stop the petty tribalism, and join the 21st century. Peace ✌️
